La cocina de esta reforma integral de vivienda destaca por su color negro antracita mate, presente en todo el mobiliario. Como podéis ver, la puerta que da a una de las habitaciones está integrada en la pared de la cocina, también del mismo color gris antracita mate. El resultado visual de esta uniformidad en la cocina es la de un espacio muy acogedor y a la vez sofisticado. Para aportar calidez y continuidad en este espacio, se ha aplicado el frente de cocina con el mismo material que el suelo general de la vivienda. Se ha juado con revestimientos con texturas y con iluminación, por eso se ha colocado una tira led bajo el mueble alto en la zona del lavabo.

The original kitchen was designed and built by the original homeowner, needless to say neither design nor building was his profession. Further, the entire house has hydronic tubing in gypcrete for heat which means to utilities (water, ventilation or power) could be brought up through the floor or down from the ceiling except on the the exterior walls. The current homeowners love to cook and have a seasonal garden that generates a lot of lovely fruits and vegetables for both immediate consumption and preserving, hence, kitchen counter space, two sinks, the induction cooktop and the steam oven were all 'must haves' for both the husband and the wife. The beautiful wood plank porcelain tile floors ensures a slip resistant floor that is sturdy enough to stand up to their three four-legged children. Utilizing the three existing j-boxes in the ceiling, the cable and rail system combined with the under cabinet light illuminates every corner of this formerly dark kitchen. A breathtakingly beautiful Shaker kitchen using concept continuous frames. On one wall, a long run of Concretto Scuro is used for the worktop, splashback and integrated sink with a built-in flush hob keeping the run seamless. The bespoke full height cabinetry houses a deceivingly large pantry with open shelving and wire baskets. Either side camouflages the fridge freezer and a storage cupboard for brushes, mops and plenty of doggy treats.
