Located on the dramatic North Cornwall coast and within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the clients for this remarkable contemporary family home shared our genuine passion for sustainability, the environment and ecology. One of the first Hempcrete block buildings in Cornwall, the dwelling’s unique approach to sustainability employs the latest technologies and philosophies whilst utilising traditional building methods and techniques. Wherever practicable the building has been designed to be ‘cement-free’ and environmentally considerate, with the overriding ambition to have the capacity to be ‘off-grid’. Wood-fibre boarding was used for the internal walls along with eco-cork insulation and render boards. Lime render and plaster throughout complete the finish. Externally, there are concrete-free substrates to all external landscaping and a natural pool surrounded by planting of native species aids the diverse ecology and environment throughout the site. A modern, monochromatic condo with a brand new custom kitchen. Off the kitchen is a laundry closet that includes a washer and drier with storage space.

A kitchen with Danish Modern design influence, combining simplicity with functionalism. Natural looking finishes have been implemented, but a very clean and minimal monochromatic scheme; light linear grain look cabinetry, linear textured cross-cut travertine floor and island top and cream coloured polished solid-surface perimeter countertops with matching backsplash. Dass die Prinzenvilla ein wenig reduzierter eingerichtet werden sollte, haben wir bereits im Schlafzimmerpost erwähnt. In den anderen Räumen und auch in der Küche bilden jedoch farbenfrohe Dekorationen lebendige Kontraste. Schon der Kontrast vom weißen Hochglanzlack zur Küchenseite aus geölter Natureiche verbindet Luftigkeit mit Wärme. Eine dunkle Küchenplatte bringt noch mehr Eleganz in die Kücheneinrichtung. Man sieht: Reduktion ist keinesfalls gleichbedeutend mit Sterilität. Entstanden ist stattdessen eine moderne Küche, welche mit einigen Dekorationselementen vielseitig und veränderbar wird!

This glamorous space is part of a large open plan living space in a new-build property in Marlow. It is a bespoke design using Ballerina furniture manufactured in Germany, with contrasting high gloss black and precious veneer cabinets and Miele appliances.
