Raised panel, stained wood cabinets with a contrasting painted cream island set the Traditional tone for this expansive kitchen project. The counter tops are a combination of polished earth tone granite in the kitchen and prep island, and matte finished quartzite for the serving island. The floors are engineered wood that transitions into travertine. And we also used a combination of travertine and a custom tile pattern for the backsplash and trim around the hood. Enjoy!

The homeowners started by hiring an architect to develop a vision and plan for transforming their very traditional brick home into a contemporary family home full of modern updates. The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn was hired to provide kitchen design expertise and to bring the vision to life. The bamboo cabinetry and white Ceasarstone countertops provide contrast that pops while the white oak floors and limestone tile bring warmth to the space. A large island houses a Galley Sink which provides a multi-functional work surface fantastic for summer entertaining. And speaking of summer entertaining, a new Nana Wall system — a large glass wall system that creates a large exterior opening and can literally be opened and closed with one finger – brings the outdoor in and creates a very unique flavor to the space. Matching bamboo cabinetry and panels were also installed in the adjoining family room, along with aluminum doors with frosted glass and a repeat of the limestone at the newly designed fireplace. Bei dieser Küche galt es den Küchenbereich von der Diele und dem Wohnungseingang zu entkoppeln, ohne die Räume voneinander zu trennen. Die Küchenmöbel wurden farblich passend zu den antiken Zementfliesen lackiert. Die Fronten sind seitlich schräg geschnitten, unten und oben jedoch gerade, so dass ein interessantes Fugenbild entsteht. Im Hochschrank steckt rechts ein 200kg tragender, voll heraus ziehbarer Schrank, der locker das Alltagsgeschirr in sich birgt. Die robuste Arbeitsplatte ist aus solidem Edelstahlblech gekantet, das Becken nahtlos eingeschweißt. Auf der hinteren Aufkantung steht bündig eine hochglänzende Holzrückwand mit eingelassenen Steckdosen. Der praktische Schwallrand an der Arbeitsplattenvorderkante verhindert, dass Vergossenes auf den Boden tropft. Der dreiteilige Hängeschrank ist mit goldschimmernden Zitronenholz furniert und transparent lackiert. Die Regalform und die Glastüren betonen die Offenheit und Großzügigkeit des Raumes. Die beidseitig - ebenfalls Zitronenholz furnierte - nutzbare Theke vereint viele Funktionen: links ragt tief die Spülmaschine in ihren Körper, mittig teilen sich Küchen- und Thekenschrank die Tiefe und rechts füllen 80cm lange Schubladen die ansonsten schlecht nutzbare Ecke der Küche aus. Dabei manifestiert sie auf Grund der Materialwahl und ihrer Höhe den Übergang von der Küche zum Wohnbereich.

This showhome in Saskatoon features and oiled maple hardwood. This is an excellent choice when using hardwood in high traffic households. The wear and tear that naturally occurs blends into the wood creating natural character.

This home located in Thiensville, Wisconsin was an original 1950's ranch with three bedrooms and one and one half baths. The remodel consisted of all new finishes throughout with a new kitchen matching the existing kitchen layout. The main bath was completely remodeled with new fixtures and finishes using the existing cabinetry. The original half bath was converted into a full bath by using an adjoining closet for more space. The new bathroom consists of new custom shower, fixtures and cabinets. This project is a good example of how to fix up an outdated house with a low budget.
