DREAM HOME ALERT** This home was taken down to the studs and expanded from 4,000 to 8,000 Sq Ft. We reimagined it in our clients’ vision of a modern and comfortable oasis. It was nearly a three year project from start to finish. There are so many gorgeous rooms. This home isn’t afraid to be in the limelight. The bold checker board flooring in the entry makes a big statement. Chic décor throughout from the glamours chandelier, stunning dining room furniture and custom built in buffet cabinetry. The heart of the home is always the kitchen and this one is no exception. High contrast creates interest and depth in this transitional kitchen. This kitchen shows off natural quartzite slab taken to the ceiling with black and white display cabinetry and gold accents. The sophisticated primary suite is truly one of a kind with gorgeous crystal scones adorn with accents of black and gold. There was a large team of professionals that made this custom home come to life.

With a growing family, this couple wanted more space for family gatherings. This was a major interior remodel that took out the 2nd story floor over the kitchen to create a much larger kitchen/dining area. "This beautiful design started with a clean open slate and lots of design opportunities. The homeowner was looking for a large oversized spacious kitchen designed for easy meal prep for multiple cooks and room for entertaining a large oversized family. The architect’s plans had a single island with large windows on both main walls. The one window overlooked the unattractive side of a neighbor’s house while the other was not large enough to see the beautiful large back yard. The kitchen entry location made the mudroom extremely small and left only a few design options for the kitchen layout. The almost 14’ high ceilings also gave lots of opportunities for a unique design, but care had to be taken to still make the space feel warm and cozy. After drawing four design options, one was chosen that relocated the entry from the mudroom, making the mudroom a lot more accessible. A prep island across from the range and an entertaining island were included. The entertaining island included a beverage refrigerator for guests to congregate around and to help them stay out of the kitchen work areas. The small island appeared to be floating on legs and incorporates a sink and single dishwasher drawer for easy clean up of pots and pans. This kitchen needs to have a day-to-day function and also function for corporate entertaining. As such, electric doors open up to a large back end, where a complete scullery can be found. Photography by Kallan MacLeod For inspiration, we drew from a palette of rich, earthy colours. Under-cabinet lighting complements these tones well, adding a softness to the clean lines and sleekness of the design. We chose hard-wearing and long-lasting Corian and black glass to create this unique look.

This kitchen literally doubled in size, when we took over the previous dining room space by knocking out a wall. This family loves to cook, so lots of counter space was a must have as was one island for food prep and one for eating. With young kids and dogs, durable floors were a high priority, and new luxury vinyl flooring (that looks just like hardwood!) was installed throughout the main living spaces as well as the stairs and hallways. The black cabinets, white quartz countertops, gray wash flooring, and brass hardware make for one stunning combination!
