What were you looking for in your remodel? We were looking to completely redo the space. We knew we needed a new layout to accommodate the need for more storage, but also to update the extremely outdated cabinets, flooring, etc. to bring it out of 1960 and into 2020. 2. What do you love most about your remodel? I obviously love that everything is brand new. My favorite physical feature is definitely the new backsplash and countertops that we chose! I also have never had soft close drawers so those are spectacular! 3. What was your main concern when deciding on a remodeling company? We really just didn’t want it to take a long time! We were at home during the whole thing because of the pandemic, so it was not realistic to live without a kitchen for months. 4. What made you choose O’Hanlon Kitchens? Would you recommend O’Hanlon Kitchens? Tracy was a great designer, and we ultimately went with O’Hanlon because she discovered some details about the kitchen and it’s functional space that others overlooked and even we didn’t notice. A complete two bath & kitchen renovation in a condo. Client wanted a larger kitchen area and better layout for bathrooms. We removed a wall near the entrance and extended the kitchen with additional cabinetry and storage area. Laundry room was reduced to accommodate the larger kitchen. The shared and primary bathrooms were gutted and fully remodeled as well. Enlarged shower enclosure in shared bath for more space. Layout of primary bathroom was changed for better accessibility and flow in the area. Vanity and shower was relocated to create a more spacious and inviting environment. Client didn’t like the current floors, we replaced it with luxury vinyl planks for durability.

A badly level ceiling, solid brick walls, and leftover architectural features that no longer made sense. That is what stood between Michael and Craig and their beautiful kitchen. The kitchen in this 1899 Lancaster City row home was barely functional. So after creating a plan together that maximized the space while staying in the budget, the work began. The entire room was completely gutted... including an 18” brick wall which opened up the corner to make room for more counter space and cabinets. Gutting the room also allowed us to level the ceiling to give a perfect finish to the top of the cabinets. It was amazing to see the kitchen come together. Soft maple cabinets painted with the Simply White finish. The doors were in the flat panel style with a 1/2” overlay. Lina Pearl granite countertops with a Marazzi Midpark Mosaics glazed porcelain backsplash in Shadow with Alabaster grout. Coretec Plus was used for the flooring in the Whittier Oak color. Most of the appliances were purchased from Martin's Appliances – including the stainless steel Elica stove hood.

We were asked to help transform a cluttered, half-finished common area to an organized, multi-functional homework/play/lounge space for this family of six. They were so pleased with the desk setup for the kids, that we created a similar workspace for their office. In the midst of designing these living areas, they had a leak in their kitchen, so we jumped at the opportunity to give them a brand new one. This project was a true collaboration between owner and designer, as it was done completely remotely.

Sleek, light and bright. A shortage of square footage did not affect the client’s vision for this new downtown kitchen. In a small condo, the function and layout are the priority for this understated, contemporary kitchen. Bright white and stainless steel reflect the light. Dark woods ground the space and the high style dramatic counter-top with a waterfall edge are the focal point for this cuisine friendly contemporary urban space. By transforming a bedroom into a captivating kitchen, repurposing the former kitchen area into a living space, and expanding the doorways to the exterior, we achieved a remarkable transformation of the entire home. A previously unused storage room, which once accommodated a ladder to the mezzanine office, has been elegantly transformed into a functional scullery, seamlessly integrated with the kitchen. In addition, a sliding ladder in the lounge now connects the mezzanine office space with the living area, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity between the family members. The play area, once simply an extension of the living space, has been magically reimagined as an enchanting bedroom. As for the renovated bathroom and laundry, they now offer improved functionality and unmatched storage solutions. The cabinetry design provides convenient drawers beneath the washer and dryer, along with ample storage options on the sides and above. The client expressed a newfound passion for cooking and delight in the optimized utilization of the spaces.

A small enclosed kitchen is very common in many homes such as the home that we remodeled here. Opening a wall to allow natural light to penetrate the space is a must. When budget is important the solution can be as you see in this project - the wall was opened and removed but a structural post remained and it was incorporated in the design. The blue modern flat paneled cabinets was a perfect choice to contras the very familiar gray scale color scheme but it’s still compliments it since blue is in the correct cold color spectrum. Notice the great black windows and the fantastic awning window facing the pool. The awning window is great to be able to serve the exterior sitting area near the pool. Opening the wall also allowed us to compliment the kitchen with a nice bar/island sitting area without having an actual island in the space. The best part of this kitchen is the large built-in pantry wall with a tall wine fridge and a lovely coffee area that we built in the sitting area made the kitchen expend into the breakfast nook and doubled the area that is now considered to be the kitchen.
