The previous two-tiered peninsula was bulky and separated the cook from dining area. Replacing with a one level peninsula, large apron front sink and gorgeous brass faucet make the space feel more open, spacious and introduces extra seating and counterspace. Calcatta gold drapes the countertops and backsplash and a spark of black and brass complete this sleek design.

The clients original kitchen was a dark, dated, and constrained space which they wanted opened up to include a window, more functional work area, a bench seat and wet bar. We were restricted to maintaining the Post on the island, however managed to check all the boxes and created a very Bright and Beachy Farmhouse feel. The clients now love to spend time in this functional kitchen ,cooking, entertaining, and relaxing with a good book.

This customer wanted to replace their very outdated kitchen with a very modern style/feel. The results are absolutely gorgeous. It provides a great balance of contrast and the final product looks huge

This kitchen is so beautiful it's almost too perfect! We have seen many white shaker style cabinet choices but this kitchen pairs it perfectly with this Black Pearl granite and bright white beveled Finesse backsplash. At our Winter Sun project, the house was very Tuscan Old World, and our homeowners were wanting a change from all the dark colors. We updated the kitchen, master bathroom and the powder room but kept existing travertine flooring. In the kitchen, we have white painted cabinets on the perimeter, grey painted cabinets for the island with marble looking quartz and grey subway backsplash laid in a herringbone pattern. To add texture, we designed a drywall hood to really make a statement.

This Spanish influenced Modern Farmhouse style Kitchen incorporates a variety of textures and finishes to create a calming and functional space to entertain a houseful of guests. The extra large island is in an historic Sherwin Williams green with banquette seating at the end. It provides ample storage and countertop space to prep food and hang around with family. The surrounding wall cabinets are a shade of white that gives contrast to the walls while maintaining a bright and airy feel to the space. Matte black hardware is used on all of the cabinetry to give a cohesive feel. The countertop is a Cambria quartz with grey veining that adds visual interest and warmth to the kitchen that plays well with the white washed brick backsplash. The brick backsplash gives an authentic feel to the room and is the perfect compliment to the deco tile behind the range. The pendant lighting over the island and wall sconce over the kitchen sink add a personal touch and finish while the use of glass globes keeps them from interfering with the open feel of the space and allows the chandelier over the dining table to be the focal lighting fixture.

What can we say about this project??? What a pleasure to work on! This 1920's farmhouse has some incredible existing features including an amazing fireplace, ample pantry space, and loads of natural light. The only problem was everything was grey, everything.... and drab. Not good. This room was in desperate need texture and definition. This project is the perfect example of how color and contrast can transform a space. We started with this amazing wood wall. This instantly gave our clients the pop they were looking for. We designed a custom island topped with a medium grey quartz countertop to add another layer of texture. Custom furnishings including a cozy sofa, cocktail table and upholstered counter stools transform this space into a cozy family spot for all to gather. We love this kitchen so much!

A kitchen remodel has transformed into a bright, airy, open, and transitional space, with plenty of room for entertaining. Using white finishes and light floors, this kitchen has taken a new look. Large drawers for storage become useful for pots and pans as well as small appliances. Every angle of the space is utilized by featuring corner cabinets to accentuate storage capacity. Island pendants become useful task lighting as well as decorative lighting. The subway tile features a wave-like pattern giving the space a unique contemporary feeling.

A pull out trash drawer is a great way to hide your garbage and keep your kitchen looking clean. Think about this: are you a left handed or right handed? If you answered right handed, you may want to place the pull out trash on the right side of the sink. Photography by Bob Gockeler
