One of the other design desires was to give the space a sleek, modern look by picking the right cabinet door styles from IKEA. “I definitely wanted this kitchen to have timeless style, be highly functional and require very little maintenance,” Todd says. He ended up selecting brown VOXTORP and white RINGHULT cabinet fronts, and light gray BROKHULT drawer fronts to complement the walnut-style SEKTION cabinets. “The VOXTORP was a brand-new front that had come out after working with IKD. There were no good examples of completed kitchens to look at since it was so new, but they turned out way better than I expected!” he says. The cabinets are complemented by stainless steel GREVSTA toe kicks and light-colored quartz countertops, which were supplied from a vendor through the contractor.

Feature In: Visit Miami Beach Magazine & Island Living A nice young couple contacted us from Brazil to decorate their newly acquired apartment. We schedule a meeting through Skype and from the very first moment we had a very good feeling this was going to be a nice project and people to work with. We exchanged some ideas, comments, images and we explained to them how we were used to worked with clients overseas and how important was to keep communication opened. They main concerned was to find a solution for a giant structure leaning column in the main room, as well as how to make the kitchen, dining and living room work together in one considerably small space with few dimensions. Whether it was a holiday home or a place to rent occasionally, the requirements were simple, Scandinavian style, accent colors and low investment, and so we did it. Once the proposal was signed, we got down to work and in two months the apartment was ready to welcome them with nice scented candles, flowers and delicious Mojitos from their spectacular view at the 41th floor of one of Miami's most modern and tallest building. The traditional tap, does not look out of place in this modern kitchen, keeping the brass / gold accents flowing within the space. The quartz upstand was expanded to provide a perfect barrier for water splashes under the window.

This kitchen was replaced for a smart IKEA kitchen with solid quartz worktop and Pushka handles. Appliances are built in. We went for an environmentally friendly cork for the flooring, fresh white walls and a warm taupe tile for the splashback.
