Our clients raised three children with a small galley kitchen and equally small eating area. The kitchen remodel was always a thought, but time and money was limited. Two children have since moved, married, and have their own children. Their needs for a larger more functional entertaining kitchen became a necessity. They wanted the ability to have the entire family together simultaneously. Our clients stated the new kitchen has met their every desire and even more than ever imagined.

In this beautifully crafted home, the living spaces blend contemporary aesthetics with comfort, creating an environment of relaxed luxury. As you step into the living room, the eye is immediately drawn to the panoramic view framed by the floor-to-ceiling glass doors, which seamlessly integrate the outdoors with the indoors. The serene backdrop of the ocean sets a tranquil scene, while the modern fireplace encased in elegant marble provides a sophisticated focal point. The kitchen is a chef's delight with its state-of-the-art appliances and an expansive island that doubles as a breakfast bar and a prepping station. For years, Jen wanted to cook and bake in a kitchen where she could hone her substantial talents as a professional chef. Her small kitchen was not up to the task. When she was ready to build, she enlisted Shelter Architecture to design a space that is both exquisite and functional. In this kitchen, Siteline Cabinetry in the Walton shaker door style with the Toffee stain finish was installed. The countertop is MSI Calacatta Valentin quartz with a standard edge treatment with a Transolid Stainless Steel Sink and Moen Spot Resist Stainless faucet. The tile backsplash is 3x12 irregular subway tile by Anatolia Marlow collection. An Elmwood Park collection pendant light over the island and a mini chandelier in Brushed Nickel. On the floor is 18x18 Flex Corinthia in the Amber color Luxury Vinyl Tile.

This gem of a home was designed by homeowner/architect Eric Vollmer. It is nestled in a traditional neighborhood with a deep yard and views to the east and west. Strategic window placement captures light and frames views while providing privacy from the next door neighbors. The second floor maximizes the volumes created by the roofline in vaulted spaces and loft areas. Four skylights illuminate the ‘Nordic Modern’ finishes and bring daylight deep into the house and the stairwell with interior openings that frame connections between the spaces. The skylights are also operable with remote controls and blinds to control heat, light and air supply. Unique details abound! Metal details in the railings and door jambs, a paneled door flush in a paneled wall, flared openings. Floating shelves and flush transitions. The on-demand water heater does double duty providing hot water as well as heat to the home via a high velocity duct and HRV system.

In this kitchen, Medallion Gold Briarwood flat panel Cherry cabinetry in the Cappuccino finish was installed on the base cabinets and island. On the upper cabinets is Medallion Silverline Liberty Maple cabinetry in the White Icing finish. Accented with Richelieu Metal Pull hardware. The countertop is Envi Carrara Luce on the perimeter and Cambria Huntley on the island.
