Our clients wanted a modern kitchen that suited busy family life, somewhere where they could gather to prepare meals, eat, work and chat about their day. They were prepared to go bold, so this black beauty from our German range was the perfect choice! The wood splashback and accents (in nougat wild oak) soften this look and offers a laid back feel. We’ve completed this kitchen design with Siemens studioLine appliances, and the must-have boiling water tap – the Quooker Flex. Prior to the renovation, the kitchen had dated cabinetry and appliances, mismatched countertop surfaces and an impractical layout. The remodel included updating and relocating appliances, refacing cabinets, adding granite countertops, and installing a custom tempered glass “waterfall” bar to seat four. The designer commissioned an intricate marble mosaic backsplash, illuminated by dimmable LED tape lighting. Energy efficient appliances include an in-wall Gaggenau coffee maker and oven, a stainless side-by-side refrigerator and dishwasher, a six-burner gas stove topped by a custom fabricated stainless hood vent, and an industrial modern sink and hardware. The designer customized the steel and crystal chandelier over the island. The adjacent keeping room was significantly improved by editing light fixtures and defining seating arrangements for dining and lounging. A durable cowhide, lengthy media console and modular sofa accommodate 360-degree entertaining. The tempered glass and steel breakfast room furniture seats six while remaining compact. Long white cotton curtains soften the space while filtering late afternoon sun in both the keeping and living rooms.

Are you looking for a modern kitchen design to create an open and social family space perfect for large gatherings? This modern duotone kitchen in St Albans is the perfect inspiration. This project was designed with a large family as the main focus and dedicated areas for entertaining and gathering of all sizes. The kitchen design features modern elements, with clean lines and soothing tones of grey and blue. The cabinetry is made with 317 Touch and 945 Easytouch units, paired with 338 Lac-Laminate handleless doors in Satin Grey and Fjord Blue. To make this blue and grey kitchen the perfect space for social gatherings, we built a large island as the centrepiece. We used Algarve 20mm CRL QZ143 for the worktops, a white quartz material with prominent grey veining. Completing the kitchen are appliances from Siemens, Bora, Blanco, and Quooker. We also built a utility room for this home, which includes the laundry area and an entire wall of tall units that can be used for general storage or an extra pantry. To make the narrow space look and feel bigger, we only used the light grey units and left the rest of the room white.

This throwback mid-century modern kitchen is functional and funky. Funktional? We like it. A utility room off the kitchen has space for laundry and a second refrigerator.

When our client moved into a new home in East Sheen, they were downsizing from their previous house but still wanted the kitchen and living areas to have the wow factor. We created an open-plan kitchen with a large island and separate bar area, so they could still have an excellent entertaining space while preserving the smaller footprint of their new home. After seeing it on our display, they fell in love with the Caesarstone Empira Black quartz worktops. This became the starting point for our design, which centres around a dark, dramatic colour palette with small yet surprising pops of colour. We used Pronorm Y-line Stratus Grey Pearl and Pebble Grey cabinets to complement the worktops. These units house the Neff ovens, a The 1810 Company sink, an a Quooker Fusion hot tap, a coffee zone, and an American fridge freezer with larder storage along the back wall, dropping down to a long worktop space for washing. The island sits next to the structural pillar, with a Neff venting hob and Spekva Safari Brasilica solid wood breakfast bar. For the bar area, we used Pronorm Proline MP Dark Steel which has a textured satin matt finish slightly different from the kitchen units but still works well with the overall design. We added some black framed glass units for the glassware, adding character to the area and distinction from the kitchen. Lastly, we added some chrome, bright red, and bright orange accessories to add fun and colour to the space without deviating too much from the dark and dramatic design theme.

Here's another angle of this beautiful kitchen featuring our PLJW 129. This kitchen is a great example of a two-tone kitchen, with white granite countertops and black cabinets. The black and white color combination provides some strong contrast. Bright pendant lights illuminate the kitchen island, streamlining the cooking experience.
