Takako Oji is planning to present her view towards "Time Space Existence" in this global setting. Trellis Structures, Inc

Bryanoji Design Studio designed a custom cedar wall for the interior of the bathroom at Project Merri. Takako approached Trellis Structures to fabricate it for her. It was a wonderful opportunity to see the home that Takako designed and oversaw the construction of. It is truly visionary and we were honored to have a small role in seeing the project come together. Takako was very clear and efficient in her goals and worked with us to produce a custom cedar wall that was at once beautiful and wholly integrated and economical in its function. This would describe Takako’s home as well. Every part of it is in concert with the whole, created with the sensitivity of an artist and in keeping with sustainable building practices. Takako was a joy to work with and if you would ever have the opportunity to do so I would highly recommend her architectural skills. Patricia Cornell, Trellis Structures, Inc.

Bryanoji Design Studio is led by Takako Oji, an Architect and Landscape Architect with a passion for designing holistic, sustainable and low maintenance projects. Takako brings her clients fully through the design and building experience. She embraces the creativity her clients bring to the process of designing a building that best fits the land in which it, and they will live for generations. Her unique approach to sourcing economical building materials and harnessing the true character of those materials is obvious in Merri, a local single family project I admire and saw advance from building shell to completed landscape. That house will stand the test of time with minimal maintenance to the house or landscape. I highly recommend Bryanoji Design Studio to clients seeking a talented, creative partner for their new or rehabilitation building and/or landscape project.

Clean and Elegant Design! Project Merri is a very wonderful house and has an excellent connection to nature. The outside of the house is amazingly unique and it is superbly positioned on a hill surrounded by beautiful trees. Inside, the main public space is open and welcoming without being too big. The flow through the house from public to private space is very natural with the connection to nature maintained throughout. And I love the soaking tub!

This is a unique home with clean lines and a design that is both highly original yet very compatible with its rural wooded lot. The emphasis on sustainability and environmental sensitivity is a huge plus factor.

The ideas and ultimate design is excellent! We collaborated on materials and everything was well thought through. Consideration for environmentally friendly and energy efficient were also brought into our design. Repurposed materials were incorporated into the the work too. Such careful work and creative ideas!
