In this beautiful farmhouse style home, our Carmel design-build studio planned an open-concept kitchen filled with plenty of storage spaces to ensure functionality and comfort. In the adjoining dining area, we used beautiful furniture and lighting that mirror the lovely views of the outdoors. Stone-clad fireplaces, furnishings in fun prints, and statement lighting create elegance and sophistication in the living areas. The bedrooms are designed to evoke a calm relaxation sanctuary with plenty of natural light and soft finishes. The in-law suite kitchen could only be in a small corner of the basement. The kitchen design started with the question: how small can this kitchen be? The compact layout was designed to provide generous counter space, comfortable walking clearances, and abundant storage. The bold colors and fun patterns anchored by the warmth of the dark wood flooring create a happy and invigorating space. SQUARE FEET: 140

This historic home came with it's challenges but we worked with the bones we had in place to add and create a more functional space that gave my clients more storage and openness for what was once a compartmentalized home. First order of business was take the wall out between kitchen and living room, this gave the family a straight view through to the front of the home. The living room needed some storage, and overflow pantry storage, so we did a wall to wall, floor to ceiling custom cabinetry that surrounded the TV to give us that. we had the door style made to mate the unique kitchen cabinets. The breakfast bar was a great addition since we wanted a perching place to sit for a meal or to swivel around to watch a game!

To make the most of this window-endowed penthouse, I designed sleek, pared-down spaces with low-slung lounge seating, floating consoles, and modern Italian pieces. The kitchen is an open-plan layout, and the narrow dining room features a Keith Fritz dining table complemented with Roche Bobois dining chairs. Coastal Glam Kitchen with White Shaker Cabinets, Amazing White & Gold Devotion Scallop Blend Backsplash, Matte Gold Cabinet Pulls, Matte Gold Faucet and Mercury Glass Pendent Lights top off the Beautiful Kitchen.

The custom cabinets are walnut-stained knotty alder. Stainless steel Bosch appliances and copper hood make this kitchen rustic in feel but modern in convenience. Rattan wrapped counter stools finish off the warm cozy feel giving the entire space a very inviting vibe.

This 90's home received a complete transformation. A renovation on a tight timeframe meant we used our designer tricks to create a home that looks and feels completely different while keeping construction to a bare minimum. This beautiful Dulux 'Currency Creek' kitchen was custom made to fit the original kitchen layout. Opening the space up by adding glass steel framed doors and a double sided Mt Blanc fireplace allowed natural light to flood through.

Removing a wall between the kitchen and living room brings light and usability to a once closed off, secluded kitchen. Mealtimes become a favorite family time now with a large island with seating for four. The homeowners wanted a more modern feel with a classic touch, and this was achieved with classic white cabinetry topped with leathered granite on the surround and a showstopping Quartz for the island that is a work of art. Playing on textures and finishes, the beveled marble backsplash draws the eyes to the focal point of the room, the mantle style vent hood. Keeping symmetry the star, two Circa Lighting pendants command attention. Not letting style get all the attention, this kitchen lacks no modern conveniences such as a water dispensing station, beverage center, and top of the line appliances. This stunning new kitchen breathes new life to this beautiful home and will grow with this sweet young family.

I designed custom blackened steel beam covers to fit around existing plaster beams. This allowed me to incorporate lighting in a location that had no power supply. I had the steel fabricated to follow and fit the existing amazing scalloped ceiling. White lacquer cabinets and a thick, solid, stone slab kitchen island keeps the feeling fresh and provides dramatic contrast to the dark floor and steel. Photos by: Seth Caplan

This customer wanted to completely update the kitchen making it more modern, in preparation for possibly selling it in the next few years. The design, which included two-tone base and upper cabinets, Cambria SummerHill Quartz, chrome cabinet hardware, arabesque marble backsplash tile, and undercabinet lighting made the final product simply stellar!

We really opened up and reorganized this kitchen to give the clients a more modern update and increased functionality and storage. The backsplash is a main focal point and the color palette is very sleek while being warm and inviting.
