A traditional solid ash kitchen painted in Farrow & Ball's Lichen green, perfect for this beautiful Arts & Craft style house. The original kitchen at the back of the house was small and unappealing so the clients desired that the kitchen be recited to the front of the house in a rarely use reception room. Idesign designed and completed the project in the summer of 2021.

Rustic-Modern Finnish Kitchen Our client was inclined to transform this kitchen into a functional, Finnish inspired space. Finnish interior design can simply be described in 3 words: simplicity, innovation, and functionalism. Finnish design addresses the tough climate, unique nature, and limited sunlight, which inspired designers to create solutions, that would meet the everyday life challenges. The combination of the knotty, blue-gray alder base cabinets combined with the clean white wall cabinets reveal mixing these rustic Finnish touches with the modern. The leaded glass on the upper cabinetry was selected so our client can display their personal collection from Finland. Mixing black modern hardware and fixtures with the handmade, light, and bright backsplash tile make this kitchen a timeless show stopper. This project was done in collaboration with Susan O'Brian from EcoLux Interiors.

Han Stone Calacatta Gold Quartz countertops, with a single bowl Blanco stainless steel sink and sink grid, Delta Essa Touch2o faucet, air switch for the disposal and stainless-steel appliances. Stainless steel pendant lights, strip outlets at the island and at the bottom of the upper cabinets, and LED strip lighting on a dimmer. Rose Interiors Photographer: M-Buck Studio This charming house wraps all of the conveniences of a modern, open concept floor plan inside of a wonderfully detailed modern farmhouse exterior. The front elevation sets the tone with its distinctive twin gable roofline and hipped main level roofline. Large forward facing windows are sheltered by a deep and inviting front porch, which is further detailed by its use of square columns, rafter tails, and old world copper lighting. Inside the foyer, all of the public spaces for entertaining guests are within eyesight. At the heart of this home is a living room bursting with traditional moldings, columns, and tiled fireplace surround. Opposite and on axis with the custom fireplace, is an expansive open concept kitchen with an island that comfortably seats four. During the spring and summer months, the entertainment capacity of the living room can be expanded out onto the rear patio featuring stone pavers, stone fireplace, and retractable screens for added convenience. When the day is done, and it’s time to rest, this home provides four separate sleeping quarters. Three of them can be found upstairs, including an office that can easily be converted into an extra bedroom. The master suite is tucked away in its own private wing off the main level stair hall. Lastly, more entertainment space is provided in the form of a lower level complete with a theatre room and exercise space.

His love of cooking and entertaining were hugely important in the design, and every cabinet was outfitted and accessorized to make entertaining a breeze.

Young urban chic, semi-custom kitchen design with an eclectic mix of boho, farmhouse and industrial features and accents! All prefab cabinets mindfully designed to look custom, custom plaster range hood, reclaimed wood floating shelves and accent trim on hood, hammered brass hardware and sconces, Moravian star pendant light, beveled subway tile, Fireclay farm sink, custom drop leaf service cart that doubles as an island table with industrial bar stools, custom wine bar and iron mirror, custom bifold iron and glass French doors and a Turkish rug.

This kitchen had no windows so Pineapple House designers removed the hallway-kitchen, kitchen-dining and kitchen-living walls to gain a view/air/natural light. Pineapple House designed a window-like partition between the kitchen and foyer entry for both structural support/visual separation. We like to call this style "Desert Contemporary." The idea is to combine natural materials with contemporary elements for a more "transitional" result. The cabinets are a warm wood, Shaker cabinet. The counters are a simple white quartz. The backsplash is a beige glass 4x8 tile and the floors are travertine.
