For our client, who had previous experience working with architects, we enlarged, completely gutted and remodeled this Twin Peaks diamond in the rough. The top floor had a rear-sloping ceiling that cut off the amazing view, so our first task was to raise the roof so the great room had a uniformly high ceiling. Clerestory windows bring in light from all directions. In addition, we removed walls, combined rooms, and installed floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall sliding doors in sleek black aluminum at each floor to create generous rooms with expansive views. At the basement, we created a full-floor art studio flooded with light and with an en-suite bathroom for the artist-owner. New exterior decks, stairs and glass railings create outdoor living opportunities at three of the four levels. We designed modern open-riser stairs with glass railings to replace the existing cramped interior stairs. The kitchen features a 16 foot long island which also functions as a dining table. We designed a custom wall-to-wall bookcase in the family room as well as three sleek tiled fireplaces with integrated bookcases. The bathrooms are entirely new and feature floating vanities and a modern freestanding tub in the master. Clean detailing and luxurious, contemporary finishes complete the look.

The Kelso's Kitchen boasts a beautiful combination of modern and rustic elements. The black cabinet and drawer hardware, along with the brass and gold kitchen faucets, add a touch of sophistication and elegance. The French oak hardwood floors lend a warm and inviting atmosphere to the space, complemented by the sleek gray cabinets and the stunning gray quartz countertop. The matte black pendant lighting fixtures create a bold statement, while the metal counter stools add a contemporary flair. The mosaic backsplash and white subway tile provide a timeless and classic backdrop to the kitchen's design. With white walls and a wood shroud, the overall aesthetic is balanced and harmonious, creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing.

These terrific clients turned a boring 80's kitchen into a modern, Asian-inspired chef's dream kitchen, with two tone cabinetry and professional grade appliances. An over-sized island provides comfortable seating for four. Custom Half-wall bookcases divide the kitchen from the family room without impeding sight lines into the inviting space. This home was a sweet 30's bungalow in the West Hollywood area. We flipped the kitchen and the dining room to allow access to the ample backyard. The design of the space was inspired by Manhattan's pre war apartments, refined and elegant.

This gray transitional kitchen consists of open shelving, marble counters and flat panel cabinetry. The paneled refrigerator, white subway tile and gray cabinetry helps the compact kitchen have a much larger feel due to the light colors carried throughout the space. This kitchen was updated with Medallion maple wood species, Middleton door with a flat panel in Sandpiper Classic paint on the perimeter of the kitchen. The bar area and shelving unit and kitchen island features frameless cabinets by Design Craft in maple wood species, Potter Mills door style with flat center panel French Roast stain with Sable glaze and highlight. The countertops are Eternia Castlebar quartz with a roundover edge and a Blanco white fireclay apron front sink. Moen single handle faucet in matte black. A 4-light candelabra pendant light by Park Harbor hangs over the island and a Seagull 5-light Ravenwood chandelier hangs over the dining room table.
