Welcome to our latest kitchen renovation project, where classic French elegance meets contemporary design in the heart of Great Falls, VA. In this transformation, we aim to create a stunning kitchen space that exudes sophistication and charm, capturing the essence of timeless French style with a modern twist. Our design centers around a harmonious blend of light gray and off-white tones, setting a serene and inviting backdrop for this kitchen makeover. These neutral hues will work in harmony to create a calming ambiance and enhance the natural light, making the kitchen feel open and welcoming. To infuse a sense of nature and add a striking focal point, we have carefully selected green cabinets. The rich green hue, reminiscent of lush gardens, brings a touch of the outdoors into the space, creating a unique and refreshing visual appeal. The cabinets will be thoughtfully placed to optimize both functionality and aesthetics. The heart of this project lies in the eye-catching French-style range and exquisite light fixture. The hood, adorned with intricate detailing, will become a captivating centerpiece above the cooking area. Its classic charm will evoke the grandeur of French country homes, while also providing efficient ventilation for a pleasant cooking experience.

What was once a confused mixture of enclosed rooms, has been logically transformed into a series of well proportioned spaces, which seamlessly flow between formal, informal, living, private and outdoor activities. Opening up and connecting these living spaces, and increasing access to natural light has permitted the use of a dark colour palette. The finishes combine natural Australian hardwoods with synthetic materials, such as Dekton porcelain and Italian vitrified floor tiles

This beautiful and minimalist kitchen can remain clutter free, as there is literally a home for everything, between secret compartments, hidden drawers and bags of clever storage solutions. The matte doors and matte Silestone worktops are complimented with a sleek handleless rail system.

We designed this extension to fit an angular site in North London. The aim was to create a more open and clean aesthetic, whilst creating a large central square area for the functional aspects of the kitchen. We pushed for a nice big picture window at the end of the kitchen which brings the outdoors in, whilst the window sill also acts as seating for the family at the table.

Serving as the heart of the home, this sleek and sexy kitchen features semi-custom modern slim shaker style cabinetry in Sherwin Williams Grizzle Gray. This color, rich in dark brown, black and blue undertones pairs exquisitely with the varied colors and veins within the stunning porcelain counter tops and counter to ceiling back splash. Diminutive flush-mount fixtures in wrapped brass positioned across the ceiling elevates this space even more as opposed to traditional recessed can lighting. Photo: Zeke Ruelas

Our clients wanted to make the most of space so we gutted the home and rebuilt the inside to create a functional and kid-friendly home with timeless style. Our clients’ vision was clear: They wanted a warm and timeless design that was easy to clean and maintain with two-active boys. “It’s not unusual for our friends and family to drop past unannounced any day of the week. And we love it!” They told us during our initial Design Therapy Sesh. We knew immediately what she meant - we have an open-door policy with our families, too! Which was why we consciously created living spaces that were open, inviting and welcoming. Now, the only problem our clients would have would be convincing their guests to leave! A kitchen designed for someone who loves to cook. The center island accommodates four stools. A large pantry features frosted glass sliding barn doors. Open shelving provides space for colorful accents while generous cabinet space stores everything else neatly out of sight. A raised ceiling above the island area baths the entire area with natural light.

A classic handmade painted kitchen with contemporary styling. The kitchen/dining extension created a spacious open plan family living area with ample room for a generous kitchen island furnished with 4 elegant walnut stools under the breakfast bar and a fabulous larder nestled between the built-in fridge and freezer.

The new expansive windows were ordered to the countertop and ceiling to create the feeling these areas of the wall were outside.

Ground floor extension of an end-of-1970s property. ​ Making the most of an open-plan space with fitted furniture that allows more than one option to accommodate guests when entertaining. The new rear addition has allowed us to create a clean and bright space, as well as to optimize the space flow for what originally were dark and cramped ground floor spaces.

The large open space continues the themes set out in the Living and Dining areas with a similar palette of darker surfaces and finishes, chosen to create an effect that is highly evocative of past centuries, linking new and old with a poetic approach. The dark grey concrete floor is a paired with traditional but luxurious Tadelakt Moroccan plaster, chose for its uneven and natural texture as well as beautiful earthy hues. The supporting structure is exposed and painted in a deep red hue to suggest the different functional areas and create a unique interior which is then reflected on the exterior of the extension.

A palette of cashmere and walnut teamed with classic Italian styling creates an understated elegant style. A touch of glamour comes from the ambient lighting in the glass-fronted island cupboards.
