We are so excited to share with you this beautiful kitchen remodel in Lakeville, MN. Our clients came to us wanting to take out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. By taking out the wall, we were able to create a new larger kitchen! We kept the sink in the same location, and then moved the stove to the same wall as the sink. The fridge was moved to the far wall, we added an oven/micro combinations and a large pantry. We even had some extra room to create a desk space. The coolest thing about this kitchen is the DOUBLE island! The island closest to the sink functions as a working island and the other is for entertaining with seating for guests. What really shines here is the combination of color that creates such a beautiful subtle elegance. The warm gray color of the cabinets were paired with the brown stained cabinets on the island. We then selected darker honed granite countertops on the perimeter cabinets and a light gray quartz countertop for the islands. The slightly marbled backsplash helps to tie everything in and give such a richness to the whole kitchen. I love adding little pops throughout the kitchen, so matte black hardware and the matte black sink light are perfect! We are so happy with the final result of this kitchen! This ranch was a complete renovation! We took it down to the studs and redesigned the space for this young family. We opened up the main floor to create a large kitchen with two islands and seating for a crowd and a dining nook that looks out on the beautiful front yard. We created two seating areas, one for TV viewing and one for relaxing in front of the bar area. We added a new mudroom with lots of closed storage cabinets, a pantry with a sliding barn door and a powder room for guests. We raised the ceilings by a foot and added beams for definition of the spaces. We gave the whole home a unified feel using lots of white and grey throughout with pops of orange to keep it fun.

Nestled on a quiet street in a small town outside of Boston, this transitional style home underwent a massive overhaul. While the front facade was left largely untouched, save for a mudroom addition to connect the main house and the garage, the back of the house was extended for multiple living spaces. The addition includes a spacious family room with coffered ceiling, built-in benches, and a large sun-filled breakfast nook. The ten foot long custom oak table can seat fifteen! Above the family room addition is the new master suite- the large bathroom with freestanding tub and custom steam shower features gorgeous marble tile in a laser-cut geometric pattern. Downstairs, a new laundry room and office are divided from the hallway to the mudroom by glass pocket doors. The remaining existing rooms were updated with new finishes and paint in shades of gray to refresh this now beautiful home.

Being that the homeowners enjoy entertaining and have such a large space to do so, a wet bar with plenty of storage was added. A copper wine glass rack was custom made for the bar and display’s wine glasses in a decorative way. Designer Brittany Hutt specified Homecrest Cabinetry’s Rainer door style in the color Maple Ginger with a Wheat Finish. The kitchen and wet bar include stacked upper cabinets with lift up glass door fronts and inside LED lighting to highlight the décor displayed inside. For the countertops Pompeii Quartz in the color Black Magic was chosen. The cabinets were complete with sleek Off Center Pulls in a Matte Chrome Finish from Atlas Hardware. To integrate a contemporary coastal design element, the Caicos Blue Beach Glass Mosaic in the color Teal from Marazzi was selected for both the kitchen and wet bar backsplash.

Spanish Mediterranean with subtle Moroccan glazed clay tile influences, custom cabinetry and subzero custom fridge panels in a creamy white and gold hand faux finish with quartz counter tops in Taupe grey, brushed gold hardware and faux succulent arrangements. The island was designed in double length as one side is for much needed enclosed storage and the other is for open barstool seating designed to resemble an antique refectory table and then topped with stunning calacata macchia vecchia marble and three impressive custom solid hand forged iron & glass lantern light fixtures sparkling from above. This gorgeous European Poggenpohl Kitchen is the culinary center of this new modern home for a young urban family. The homeowners had an extensive list of objectives for their new kitchen. It needed to accommodate formal and non-formal entertaining of guests and family, intentional storage for a variety of items with specific requirements, and use durable and easy to maintain products while achieving a sleek contemporary look that would be a stage and backdrop for their glorious artwork collection. Solution: A large central island acts as a gathering place within the great room space. The tall cabinetry items such as the ovens and refrigeration are grouped on the wall to keep the rest of the kitchen very light and open. Luxury Poggenpohl cabinetry and Caesarstone countertops were selected for their supreme durability and easy maintenance. Warm European oak flooring is contrasted by the gray textured Poggenpohl cabinetry flattered by full width linear Poggenphol hardware. The tall aluminum toe kick on the island is lit from underneath to give it a light and airy luxurious feeling. To further accent the illuminated toe, the surface to the left of the range top is fully suspended 18” above the finished floor. A large amount of steel and engineering work was needed to achieve the floating of the large Poggenpohl cabinet at the end of the peninsula. This kitchen remodel gave the lakhouse a generous space for entertaining, cooking, eating and work. We opened up the previous sunroom and created the beverage and snack area with a televison for expanded use. The seating island doubles as a working counter with file cabinets and ample computer storage in the cabinets below. Stained wood trim throughout the existing lakehouse blends in with the new wood flooring and the blue and white accents tie everything together.

The client's kitchen set was re-purposed and moved to the breakfast room. The old gas insert was updated and a stack stoned fireplace with a reclaimed wood mantle was added. The wall was above the fireplace was done in Marmorino plaster while the walls were done in a faux painting technique to mimic plaster
