A new contemporary kitchen for a family that loves to cook. The owners ' European preferences lead to the selection of the German made cabinets by Bulthaup. The crisp cabinet styling and sophisticated engineering allowed for a clean, minimal style. White cabinets and backsplash defined the walls. Darker cabinets and appliances defined areas of focus. Folding exterior doors enabled the entire corner to open to the deck and rear yard. Remote controlled screens lower from the ceiling to create a screened breakfast area. DLux Images

This "Miami" kitchen features a handle-less design across all doors and drawers. The island is shown here in grey matte lacquer and tall units in Eucalyptus wood veneer. Aluminum framed glass doors creates elegant display units. Sturdy floating shelves made from lacquered steel mounted on Eucalyptus veneer panels. Wall mounted base unit provide additional storage while functioning as a sideboard.

A Blue Star range and dramatic custom hood anchor the main wall. Open metal shelves keep the space open and reveal more of the stunning Imperial Danby marble book-matched backsplash. Imperial Danby is used on all the countertops.

Luxury living done with energy-efficiency in mind. From the Insulated Concrete Form walls to the solar panels, this home has energy-efficient features at every turn. This spec home investor came to DSA with a unique challenge: to create a residence that could be sold for 8-10 million dollars on a 2-3 million dollar construction budget. The investor gave the design team complete creative control on the project, giving way to an opportunity for the team to pursue anything and everything as long as it fit in the construction budget. Out of this challenge was born a stunning modern/contemporary home that carries an atmosphere that is both luxurious and comfortable. The residence features a first floor owners’ suite, study, glass lined wine cellar, entertainment retreat, spacious great room, pool deck & lanai, bonus room, terrace, and five upstairs bedrooms. The lot chosen for the home sits on the beautiful St. Petersburg waterfront, and Designers made sure to take advantage of this at every angle of the home, creating sweeping views that flow between the exterior and interior spaces. The home boasts wide open spaces created by long-span trusses, and floor to ceiling glass and windows that promote natural light throughout the home. The living spaces in the home flow together as part of one contiguous interior space, reflecting a more casual and relaxed way of life.
