Our clients came to us with their vision and an ask to create a timeless family space grounded in their English roots. What resulted was just that: an open and bright English-inspired kitchen featuring custom inset-cabinetry in three painted finishes, aged brass hardware, a large range alcove with built-in shelving, oversized island with plenty of prep space with oversized brass bell pendants and a 12' floor to ceiling pantry. While carefully designed and expertly crafted, the kitchen is "no -fuss" in personality and quite livable for the family which were two must-haves characteristics for the homeowners. To achieve the look and flow, the former posts in the kitchen were removed and two 24' steel beams were installed to support the second floor. All beams, new and old, were sanded down and refinished with a custom stain. We created an opening into the dining room, letting light stream through throughout the day and creating sight lines from room-to-room for this busy family. Modifications were made to the framing of adjacent rooms to allow for the floor-to-ceiling pantry to be installed. New paint, refinished floors, new appliances, and windows were also a part of the overall scope.

This modern transitional home boasts an elegant kitchen that looks onto a large informal living room and shares space with the dining room and butler's pantry. Senior designer, Ayca, selected design elements that flow throughout the entire space to create a dynamic kitchen. The result is a perfect mix of industrial and organic materials, including a leathered quartzite countertop for the island with an unusual single-sided waterfall edge. The honed soapstone perimeter countertops complement the marble fireplace of the living room. A custom zinc vent hood, burnished brass mesh cabinet fronts, and leather finish slabs contrast against the dark wood floors, ceiling, and upper beams. Organic elements of the dining room chandelier and grey-white walls add softness to space when combined with the influence of crisp natural light. A chic color palette of warm neutrals, greys, blacks, and hints of metallics seep from the open-facing kitchen into the neighboring rooms, creating a design that is striking, modern, and cohesive.

The combination cherry wood and stainless steel cabinets are custom made. the floor is walnut 5 inch wide planks.

Gorgeous kitchen with black shaker cabinets and blue island offer an impact in this kitchen remodel. A new window to brighter the space and metallic accents from the brass cabinet knobs to brass light fixtures add room brightening contrast.

Northfield, IL kitchen remodel has an open floor plan which allows for better daylight dispursement. Defining the kitchen, dining, and sitting room space by varying ceiling design and open cabinetry makes the rooms more spacious, yet each space remains well defined. The added skylights in the hall gave natural light in the interior hallway as well as down the lower level stairway. The heading says it all! When we first met the client, she had a portfolio of ideas all streaming from Pinterest. The entire project was designed around certain items, finishes and ideas from an assortment of Pinterest ideas folders. As the project evolved and the client was either seeing different ideas or changing there mind we accommodated every change so that the result was everything they wanted in there forever home… down to the very last design detail. The clients were able to select their slabs of stone, see samples of different finishes and test drive hardware to make sure everything was perfect. This is one of our favourite projects to date, and a fantastic showcase of what we can do for our clients and prove anything is possible.

This kitchen has all the amenities any chef could want. Interior designer Michele Lundstedt worked with a local artist on the pewter range hood to offset the rustic wood beam ceiling and pewter pendants.
