Here you can see the full kitchen space. The black & blue island is a nice accent to break up the natural brown hues of the flooring, cabinets, and granite counter top. High set pendant lights add function and beauty without being obstructive when working on the island.

Artichoke worked with the renowned interior designer Michael Smith to develop the style of this bespoke kitchen. The detailing of the furniture either side of the Wolf range is influenced by the American East Coast New England style, with chromed door catches and simple glazed wall cabinets. The extraction canopy is clad in zinc and antiqued with acid and wax. The green painted larder cabinet contains food storage and refrigeration; the mouldings on this cabinet were inspired from a piece of Dutch antique furniture. The pot hanging rack enabled us to provide lighting over the island and saved littering the timbered ceiling with unsightly lighting. Primary materials: Hand painted cabinetry, steel and antiqued zinc.

This kitchen packs a punch with high end appliances and luscious latte colored cabinets by Dura Supreme. The white Calacatta marble adds more elegance to this classic kitchen. The stacked glass cabinets gives the room more height as well as the unique hood and spice shelf over the cook top. If you look closely you can see the latch pulls on the upper wall cabinets. Attention to every detail with this kitchen.

Architecture & Design by: Harmoni Designs, LLC. The dark wood island cabinetry provides a warm and rich contrast to the otherwise white and neutral colors of the kitchen. Everything in this design was coordinated with the owners down to the decorative lights above the island. The homeowner found the light and the exact size and spacing was coordinated with the architect. The cabinetry in this large kitchen with island has a painted glazed warm grey finish. The main counter top is quartzite, Walnut butcher block accent pieces were used on the island's raised area and the side with the prep sink. A custom stainless steel hood and one of a kind mullion glass doors lend personality.

The homeowner felt closed-in with a small entry to the kitchen which blocked off all visual and audio connections to the rest of the first floor. The small and unimportant entry to the kitchen created a bottleneck of circulation between rooms. Our goal was to create an open connection between 1st floor rooms, make the kitchen a focal point and improve general circulation. We removed the major wall between the kitchen & dining room to open up the site lines and expose the full extent of the first floor. We created a new cased opening that framed the kitchen and made the rear Palladian style windows a focal point. White cabinetry was used to keep the kitchen bright and a sharp contrast against the wood floors and exposed brick. We painted the exposed wood beams white to highlight the hand-hewn character. The open kitchen has created a social connection throughout the entire first floor. The communal effect brings this family of four closer together for all occasions. The island table has become the hearth where the family begins and ends there day. It's the perfect room for breaking bread in the most casual and communal way.

A transitional kitchen using Crystal's Cabinetry in the Hanover door style. The finish is a custom stain on Premium Alder wood. The counter tops are the Ironsbridge Cambria. The tile is from Glazzio.

A great room consisting of an expansive kitchen-breakfast-family room makes an ideal space for family living. A vaulted ceiling is supported by custom wood trusses. Dormers bring light into the space at all times of the day (and night). 10 foot tall barn doors hide (or expose) the sunroom out the rear of the space. Views to the private courtyard from all patio doors make this a wonderful space to entertain.

This kitchen was a full overhaul to make it light and bright looking in from the great room from the custom curved sofa, leather round storage ottoman, and custom valances.
