This Gainesville kitchen remodel incorporates classic wood cabinetry, a custom wood hood, and a Café Countertops wood countertop section on the island that gives this Gainesville kitchen design a one-of-a-kind look. The Eclipse Cabinetry Lancaster door is a classic shaker style with a beige painted finish, all accented by Top Knobs pewter finish knobs. A custom wood hood matches the cabinet finish, and a furniture style hutch with glass front cabinet doors. A Silestone Lusso quartz countertop is a perfect fit in this beautiful kitchen design, paired with Akua 3x6 pastel snow white glossy tile backsplash. The island countertop is finished with a stunning section of wood countertop from Cafe Countertops, which makes a perfect dining space with barstools. Its custom green cabinetry provides a casual yet sophisticated vibe to the room, while the large wall of gray cabinetry provides ample space for refrigeration, wine storage and pantry use. We love the play of closed space against open shelving display! Lastly, the kitchen sink is set into a large bay window that overlooks the family yard and outdoor pool.

Our clients came to us with their vision and an ask to create a timeless family space grounded in their English roots. What resulted was just that: an open and bright English-inspired kitchen featuring custom inset-cabinetry in three painted finishes, aged brass hardware, a large range alcove with built-in shelving, oversized island with plenty of prep space with oversized brass bell pendants and a 12' floor to ceiling pantry. While carefully designed and expertly crafted, the kitchen is "no -fuss" in personality and quite livable for the family which were two must-haves characteristics for the homeowners. To achieve the look and flow, the former posts in the kitchen were removed and two 24' steel beams were installed to support the second floor. All beams, new and old, were sanded down and refinished with a custom stain. We created an opening into the dining room, letting light stream through throughout the day and creating sight lines from room-to-room for this busy family. Modifications were made to the framing of adjacent rooms to allow for the floor-to-ceiling pantry to be installed. New paint, refinished floors, new appliances, and windows were also a part of the overall scope.

After opening up the kitchen and living room space, the kitchen was designed with the client’s timeless design selections. It features a large center island painted in a Stonington Gray factory finish. The perimeter cabinets are designed in a frameless maple shaker painted in a “Super White” factory finish. All cabinets are topped with stunning white quartz countertops. Other features include a stunning full ceiling height tile backsplash – a 12x12 Viviano Marmo Dolomite picket pattern mosaic set in an elegant vertical pattern. These homeowners also chose top-of-the-line appliances to include a 48” Wolf gas range with six burners and an infrared griddle; a 48” Sub-Zero built-in side-by-side refrigerator/freezer; a Bosch 24” custom-panel dishwasher; a Bosch 24” drawer microwave; and Zephyr wine cooler.
