Nestled in the white sands of Lido Beach, overlooking a 100-acre preserve of Florida habitat, this Colonial West Indies home celebrates the natural beauty that Sarasota is known for. Inspired by the sugar plantation estates on the island of Barbados, “Orchid Beach” radiates a barefoot elegance. The kitchen is an effortless extension of this style. A natural light filled kitchen extends into the expansive family room, dining room, and foyer all with high coffered ceilings for a grand entertainment space. The front kitchen (see other photos) features a gorgeous custom Downsview wood and stainless-steel hood, quartz countertops and backsplash, spacious curved farmhouse sink, custom walnut cabinetry, 4-person island topped with statement glass pendants. The kitchen expands into an elegant breakfast dinette adorned with a glass chandelier and floor to ceiling windows with view of bayou and terraced pool area. The intricately detailed dome ceiling and surrounding trims compliments the ornate window trims. See other photos. Behind the main kitchen lies a discrete butler’s kitchen which this photo depicts, concealing a coffee bar with antique mirror backsplash, appliance garage, wet bar, pantry storage, multiple ovens, and a sitting area to enjoy a cup of coffee keeping many of the meal prep inner workings tastefully concealed.

The brief for this project involved a full house renovation, and extension to reconfigure the ground floor layout. To maximise the untapped potential and make the most out of the existing space for a busy family home. When we spoke with the homeowner about their project, it was clear that for them, this wasn’t just about a renovation or extension. It was about creating a home that really worked for them and their lifestyle. We built in plenty of storage, a large dining area so they could entertain family and friends easily. And instead of treating each space as a box with no connections between them, we designed a space to create a seamless flow throughout. A complete refurbishment and interior design project, for this bold and brave colourful client. The kitchen was designed and all finishes were specified to create a warm modern take on a classic kitchen. Layered lighting was used in all the rooms to create a moody atmosphere. We designed fitted seating in the dining area and bespoke joinery to complete the look. We created a light filled dining space extension full of personality, with black glazing to connect to the garden and outdoor living.

Luxury lakefront condominium custom Kitchen. started as white space, this kitchen is one of a kind. There is a waterfall quartz peninsula with Caesarstone counters in the utility areas. This small space packs in all the necessities for the experienced cook. We added a dropped ceiling with a live edge wood slab with low voltage lighting for visual interest Tope cabinets are glass painted doors and the base cabinets wenge wood.

CUISINE Le mur de la salle de bain fut reculé de 60cm afin d’offrir un espace cuisine confortable pour un usage quotidien. Le plan de travail est doublé d’un bar en quartz* marbrée “calacatta” offrant ainsi près de 2m60 d’espace pour cuisiner, le bar est quant à lui posé sur les meubles de cuisine et comporte un débord arrière de 20 cm pour que les convives puissent y glisser leurs jambes ainsi qu’un jambage pour les diners en tête à tête. Cette configuration a permis de conserver un espace ouvert et fonctionnel tout en faisant office de table à manger (6 convives peuvent s’y installer en tout confort). Les façades des meubles de cuisine sont réalisées sur-mesure chez Bocklip dans une teinte Farrow and Ball « Bleu de Nimes » ainsi qu’avec un placage en chine véritable. La crédence ainsi que l’arrière des meubles présents sous le bar sont recouverts d’un miroir fumé afin de renforcer la sensation d’espace tout en créant un lien avec la table basse du salon. Afin de permettre un usage quotidien confortable la cuisine est également doté de nombreux et profonds placards sur mesures cachés dans le mur jouxtant les plans de travail.

A key design feature in this luxury Ivanhoe apartment is the mobile kitchen island bench. What makes this unique and luxe is that the wheels are completely hidden from sight and allows the client to make their space adaptable when they are entertaining. The client needed to be able to open up their space, but when it was just them in the apartment, they needed it to feel warm and cosy. Another key design feature in the space is the bright green sitting chairs. They were designed by Jane to be pushed together to create a lounge or kept separate as luxurious sitting chairs. This furthermore adds flexibility within the clients space in how she uses her living/kitchen room. Adding colour and pop to the room was essential as it complemented her outdoor courtyard area. Coming into Summer it also adds freshness to the room.
