They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, and this kitchen sure has heart: complete with top of the line appliances, glass mosaic backsplash, a generous statement island, and enough space for the whole family to comfortably connect. This charming family home in Belmont was in dire need of some tender loving care. The original builder-grade cabinetry and countertops were outdated and in need of an upgrade. The kitchen was once isolated from the dining room and living room, making entertaining guests a real chore. Cooking in the kitchen meant being cut off from the rest of the household, leading to a disconnect during family time. So, we decided to make some sweeping changes. The most transformative change was the removal of the load bearing wall separating the kitchen and living room. This created a spacious open-concept kitchen with a massive island, perfect for hosting and socializing. We upgraded the cabinets to reflect a contemporary aesthetic and added a stunning hood vent. The built-in hutch was replaced by a refrigerator and beverage center, providing ample storage space and more practical usage. The kitchen was also equipped with modern features such as roll-out trays, a trash can pull-out, spice racks, and utensil organizers. We replaced the older-style double door base cabinets with modern drawer bases for easy access, and increased the height of the cabinets from 30 inches to 36 inches, giving the kitchen a fresh, airy look and additional storage space. The laundry room also received a makeover, with new cabinets above the washer and dryer and a tall linen/storage closet, making it more functional and storage-friendly. The small pantry closet was transformed into a sprawling 12 foot deep walk-in pantry with new shelves, cabinetry and lighting, providing ample space for all your pantry essentials. We also upgraded the flooring on the first floor with durable LVP flooring, elevating the overall aesthetic and feel of the home. All of these changes were completed in a mere 21 days, from start to finish.

I designed this kitchen during my time at Harvey Jones. The client knew she wanted to feature colour but was concerned due to the narrowness of the room. By opting for natural limestone flooring and bright white walls to contrast, we were able to bring in beautiful blues and still maintain an airy, open feeling. I later designed (and Handley Bespoke built), the centre blue bookcase to complement the chosen kitchen cabinetry, featuring a hidden door leading into a cosy drinks snug. This is a great example of how bespoke builds can be made to fit in with your existing cabinetry.

Morey Remodeling Group's kitchen design and remodel helped this multi-generational household in Garden Grove, CA achieve their desire to have two cooking areas and additional storage. The custom mix and match cabinetry finished in Dovetail Grey and Navy Hale were designed to provide more efficient access to spices and other kitchen related items. Flat Black hardware was added for a hint of contrast. Durable Pental Quartz counter tops in Venoso with Carrara white polished marble interlocking pattern backsplash tile is displayed behind the range and undermount sink areas. Energy efficient LED light fixtures and under counter task lighting enhances the entire space. The flooring is Paradigm water proof luxury vinyl.

We turned this historic Sauganash dark interior kitchen, family room, and dining room into a modern, bright, open, and family-friendly space. We took down walls, removed closets, added an island with a new hood and an induction cooktop, added a built-in oven and microwave, re-purposed various wood cabinets along with painting them all, added a ton of recessed lights, opened the back wall with a larger sliding door to the deck, installed an updated environmentally-friendly window, built a coordinated entertainment center that also functions as a storage space for jackets and shoes, re-finished the floors on both the first and second floors and the staircase, added a wet bar with a floating shelf, and re-roofed a leaking roof. The blue base cabinets for both the island and the wet bar complement the bright and modern white cabinets along with a the new blue glass backsplash. The island acts as a center point for family and friends to gather. The new larger sliding back door creates a smooth transition from the open interior to the exterior.

For this kitchen remodeling project, the homeowners were looking to turn their old outdated traditional looking kitchen into a more modern and contemporary looking kitchen. We started by tearing out the old cabinets and installing all new custom cabinets done from the Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection line. They went with a simple shaker door in naval. We also doubled the size of the island bar and finished it with furniture style feet. Next we installed a quartz countertop in Alaska White and then finished the new look with a new blue gray glass backsplash. Now the homeowners have their dream kitchen and one they love to show off.
