This kitchen was all about the island, a unique, never done before hob for the UK with 6 cooking points was the signature to this "out there" bespoke kitchen

The Brief The brief for this Shoreham Beach client left our Contract Kitchen team challenged to create a design and layout to make the most of beautiful sea views and a large open plan living space. The client specified a minimalist theme which would complement the coastal surroundings and modern decor utilised for other areas in the property. Design Elements The shape of this newly built area meant a single wall of units was favourable, with a 4.3 metre island running adjacent to the long run of full-height cabinetry. To add separation to this long run, a desired drink and food-prep area has been placed close to the Juliette balcony. The single wall layout contributes to the minimal feel of this space, chosen in a Alpine White finish with discrete integrated handleware for the same reason. The chosen furniture is from German manufacturer Nobilia’s Lux collection, an extremely durable gloss kitchen option. A high-gloss furniture finish has been chosen to reflect light around this large space, but also to compliment chrome accents elsewhere in the property. Special Inclusions Durable Corian work surfaces have been used throughout the kitchen, but most impressively upon the island where no visible joins can be seen along the entire 4.3 metres. A seamless waterfall edge on the island and dual sinks also make use of the Grey Onyx Corian surface. An array of high-specification Neff cooking and refrigeration appliances have been utilised, concealed behind cabinetry where possible. Another exciting inclusion is the BORA Pure induction venting hob, placed upon the island close to the Quooker boiling water tap also specified. To add luxurious flashes to this room, a multitude of lighting options have been incorporated, including integrated plinth and undercabinet lighting. Project Highlight In addition to the kitchen, a built-in TV and storage area was required. This part of the room is a fantastic highlight that makes use of handleless stone-effect furniture from Nobilia’s Riva range. To sit atop of cabinetry and the benched seating area Stellar Grey Silestone workstops have been incorporated. The End Result The outcome of this project is a fantastic open plan kitchen area that delivers upon all elements of this client’s brief. Our Contract Kitchen team have delivered a wonderful design to capture the minimalist theme required by the client. This stunning, contemporary kitchen for one of our recent clients has been designed by choosing high gloss magnolia white and silver grey door fronts, a co-ordinating grey glass splash back and a Dekton worktop. These materials ensure the kitchen is a bright, light space. Carefully selected and positioned modern appliances and storage options ensure that the clients has everything they need within a practical working triangle. The German designed cabinetry ensures there is endless storage for a family's needs within the kitchen, hidden carefully behind the door fronts.

A bright and spacious extension to a semi-detached family home in North London. The clients brief was to create a new kitchen and dining area that would be more suited to their family needs, and full of lots of sunlight. Using a large roof light and crittal style doors, we connected the new kitchen to the garden, allowing the family to use the space all year round.

Client came to us needing help visualizing the desperately needed remodel of her newly acquired, but very outdated La Jolla Condo. Nothing had been done, and soon it became clear it all had to come down to the studs, starting over with new electrical etc. But the view was worth it! The kitchen was small and dark and the space needed to be opened up to take full advantage of the light and the ocean breeze. Once it was clear that the kitchen wall could be removed (minus one post we had to work around), the open space-plan easily fell into place. Dark base TOCCO CONTINO cabinets are grounding the room while the high-gloss white lacquer wall and tall cabinets (LARGO-FG) reflect back the colors of the ocean and blue sky. The large island was very important to the client, knowing her family would sit, work, chat, cook and eat there. Countertops were a mix of pre-fabricated Quartz from LEICHT, and for the island, the focal point, a natural Quartzite brought in the look and feel of a sandy beach. Appliances were a mix of Thermador and Miele, since they were disguised by paneling the fronts. One challenge was the small and only elevator to the 4th floor, with a staircase equally as narrow… We had to pre-plan all large cabinets, appliances and countertops, to assure delivery into the condo was possible.

This beautiful and minimalist kitchen can remain clutter free, as there is literally a home for everything, between secret compartments, hidden drawers and bags of clever storage solutions. The matte doors and matte Silestone worktops are complimented with a sleek handleless rail system.
