The desire to prepare food and cook together and the need for practical, efficient storage was an essential part of the brief. Creating a u-shape kitchen with clearly defined work zones gives the couple space to cook together. Considered storage optimises without overcrowding. The introduction of 'natural' LED lighting provides light without discolouring the painted silver grey units; a textured oak accent was added to the single row of wall units with marble effect worktops and splash backs. In addition a matt glass splash back colour matched to the walls was commissioned to protect the area behind the hob. A washed grey oak floor was laid on the diagonal.

Cette famille a fait l'acquisition d'un magnifique appartement haussmannien en centre ville de Toulouse. Mais l'agencement était mal pensé : la cuisine se trouvait tout au fond de l'appartement, loin des pièces de vie, et il y avait une chambre d'enfant juste à côté de la salle à manger. ​ Après étude du projet et de ses contraintes, nous décidons d'intervertir les deux pièces ! ​ Dans la chambre devenue CUISINE : On a créé une belle cuisine contemporaine avec îlot central et plan de travail en Dekton effet marbre blanc pour rappeler la cheminée. On a gardé le petit placard tordu qui servira de garde manger. ​ Dans la cuisine devenue CHAMBRE : On transforme cette pièce très biscornue et vieillotte en chambre avec dressing et pièce d'eau attenante. ​

The client of this Coastal chalet bungalow located in Barton On Sea wanted a light and contemporary kitchen but without the normal whites and grey tones, the client had a contemporary painting that held sentimental value to them and enjoyed the colours in it, the main Kitchen colour was taken from the picture as inspiration. As we had to work around an existing chimney stack we soon had to factor in several important areas of the kitchen, the locations for the Boiler, Ovens, fridge, and freezer all within a confined space. We decided it was best to use the height of the interior section of the chimney to utilise the Fridge and ovens leaving the remaining of the kitchen for under-counter appliances to maximise the worktop potential. Pronorm provides expensive customisations to their kitchen cabinets so we had the option to provide specially sized units for the difficult area to create as much symmetry and to keep the design as minimal as possible. The kitchen was provided in X-LINE LM with a lacquered door that’s finished in green-grey. We then complemented this colour with a Quartz worktop that was chalky off-white with mottled veins and a mirrored splash-back directly under the illuminated wall units that finished the whole space off.

Cream Melange gloss kitchen doors create a modern space with antique effect handles adding a more traditional touch. Small unit under a teardrop shaped island for that all important extra storage space.
