The client's love of sky blue was stunningly incorporated into the design of both their kitchen and bathroom. This historic home had 24" excavated from the basement in order to lower the whole first floor to fit these kitchen cabinets below the existing street-facing window. New heated concrete floors were poured, and a new floating stair case transformed this 200+ year old home.

Large tall units house functional storage and Miele appliances, the ovens are positioned at an ergonomic height tailored to the client enabling easy loading/unloading. The cooking zone is defined by bulthaup b3 glass wall panels, which act as both a splashback and architectural statement.

The solid walnut tall cabinets echo the wall panelling in the adjacent dining room and help to create a seamless link between the property’s past and its present.
