This all white kitchen in Meopham features an almost perfectly symmetrical design with a large waterfall kitchen island. Empira White Caesarstone was chosen for the work surfaces and matching full height stunning splashback. A Bora induction hob and stylish appliances from Siemens complete the sophisticated look and create a sociable living space that will not only be functional, but a pleasure to cook and entertain in.

This 5,000 SF design/build townhouse was completely renovated for a new family of young professionals. The house design incorporates a new elevator, making it easier for the owners to entertain guests and friends over the 6 different levels of this urban dwelling. The kitchen and dining room are located on the garden level, adjacent to the lush backyard of the property. The garden level is connected to the 1st floor living room visually via a double height space with a balcony. A new rooftop patio was created with a kitchenette and chefs BBQ overlooking the NYC Uptown landscape. Finally one of the greatest challenges of this house was to create a full height cellar which was achieved by blasting the bedrock under the house.

The Brief For this contemporary kitchen project in Beckenham, the client wanted a combination of modern design elements and state-of-the-art appliances to create a highly functional and visually appealing space. Our design Choices This kitchen features the Pronorm Y-Line range in Pebble Grey Lacquer, presenting a sleek and minimalist aesthetic. Meanwhile, the central island in Dark Steel finish adds a touch of sophistication. Worktop and Appliances The Artscut Calacatta Royal Gold Quartz worktops and matching full-height splashback add a touch of luxury to the space. Siemens appliances, known for their advanced technology, contribute to the kitchen's functionality and modern appeal. Including a Franke sink and Quooker tap enhances the efficiency and convenience of daily kitchen tasks. Special Features The focal point of this kitchen is the island, complete with a sink, which is centrally positioned and serves as a multifunctional workspace and a focal point for socialising. Pendant lights suspended above the island add brightness and contribute to the overall ambience. This kitchen renovation was part of a larger, extensive interior renovation for an existing penthouse condominium residence, located in Clayton, Missouri. The primary concept for the overall renovation was to bring architectural continuity throughout the entire residence with an edited materials palette that serves as a neutral backdrop for the owners’ extensive art collection. For the kitchen area specifically, dark flooring comprised of large-format Italian porcelain tiles is contrasted with high-gloss white cabinetry at the kitchen’s perimeter and gray-stained reconstituted veneer wrapping the island cabinetry. This neutral palette of white and gray is further enhanced with quartz countertops that include dramatic, gray veining. The custom banquette seating with built-in storage, activates the north wall of the kitchen and serves as an anchor for a new dining table and chairs. A contrasting blue velvet textile softens the built-in banquette, and provides a restrained field of color. The gray wood veneer is echoed at custom wall panels behind the banquette, serving as a textural backdrop for artwork installation. And a light, feathery chandelier hangs above the dining table with intention in mind to not obstruct views of the artwork beyond. ©Alise O'Brien Photography
