Discover the full remodel of a two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartment in New York’s Roosevelt Island by Modern Citi Group. Our goal was to modernize the apartment, enhance aesthetics and functionality, and reflect our clients’ unique tastes. From meticulous planning, 3D visualizations, architectural drawings, and permitting to flawless execution, the entire project was completed on time and within budget. Collaborating closely with the new homeowners, our dedicated design and construction teams completed kitchen and bathroom remodels, as well as living room, bedroom, and hallway renovations. Our construction team spared no effort, completing wall and ceiling painting, wood floor installation, baseboard replacement, and intricate electrical work throughout. The kitchen remodel included brand new Luna Dove polished kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a stunning peninsula with creamy white waterfall Quartz countertop, adding an exquisite touch of opulence and luminosity to the kitchen design. During the master bathroom remodel, we reimagined the layout, extended the shower, and bid farewell to the bathtub to create a more spacious and ergonomic space. The addition of a Monterey Oak floating vanity with Carrara marble countertop, complemented by white and beige matte porcelain tile and Kohler fixtures, resulted in a modern yet warm and welcoming bathroom, crowned as our clients' favorite room. Neutral but BOLD This bungalow renovation really shows off the beautiful vaulted ceiling details. Whilst the kitchen is very neutral, the client has brought it to life with pops of Bold colour around the whole room. The kitchen is a German Handle-less kitchen. Cashmere Gloss fronts with Trilium Dekton worktops. The design features a tall bank of Siemens StudioLine appliances and a 2in1 induction downdraft extractor on the island.

DESIGN BRIEF “A family home to be lived in not just looked at” placed functionality as main priority in the extensive renovation of this coastal holiday home. Existing layout featured: – Inadequate bench space in the cooking zone – An impractical and overly large walk in pantry – Torturous angles in the design of the house made work zones cramped with a frenetic aesthetic at odds with the linear skylights creating disharmony and an unbalanced feel to the entire space. – Unappealing seating zones, not utilising the amazing view or north face space WISH LIST – Comfortable retreat for two people and extend family, with space for multiple cooks to work in the kitchen together or to a functional work zone for a couple. DESIGN SOLUTION – Removal of awkward angle walls creating more space for a larger kitchen – External angles which couldn’t be modified are hidden, creating a rational, serene space where the skylights run parallel to walls and fittings. NEW KITCHEN FEATURES – A highly functional layout with well-defined and spacious cooking, preparing and storage zones. – Generous bench space around cooktop and sink provide great workability in a small space – An inviting island bench for relaxing, working and entertaining for one or many cooks – A light filled interior with ocean views from several vantage points in the kitchen – An appliance/pantry with sliding for easy access to plentiful storage and hidden appliance use to keep the kitchen streamlined and easy to keep tidy. – A light filled interior with ocean views from several vantage points in the kitchen – Refined aesthetics which welcomes, relax and allows for individuality with warm timber open shelves curate collections that make the space feel like it’s a home always on holidays.

La cuisine a été entièrement dessiné et réalisé sur-mesure, grâce à un menuisier spécialisé en cuisine. L'îlot est en chêne massif vernis avec une teinte miel satiné. Le bâti est blanc mat, et les portes de placards sont en chêne massif, peintes dans une teinte bleu gris, vieillies à la main. Des poignées en "vieux fer" ont été choisi pour rester dans l'esprit campagne. Le magnifique îlot abrite des rangements, des prises et une cave à vin. Il est mis en valeur avec ces trois suspensions boules en verre.
