This LVP driftwood-inspired design balances overcast grey hues with subtle taupes. A smooth, calming style with a neutral undertone that works with all types of decor. Durham Road is our minimal and contemporary extension and renovation of a Victorian house in East Finchley, North London. Custom joinery hides away all the typical kitchen necessities, and an all-glass box seat will allow the owners to enjoy their garden even when the weather isn’t on their side. Despite a relatively tight budget we successfully managed to find resources for high-quality materials and finishes, underfloor heating, a custom kitchen, Domus tiles, and the modern oriel window by one finest glassworkers in town.

Full reconfiguration of an existing kitchen and rear extension to provide an improved kitchen/ living space more suited to a couple with a young family. Alterations included the removal of an internal wall, formerly separating the kitchen and ‘garden’ study, and new sliding folding doors to replace an existing aluminium door and window. Both of these design moves help to provide an improved connection between the small south facing garden and the kitchen. A steel frame and two concrete pad foundations were required to facilitate the wall’s removal, the design of which was coordinated closely with the structural engineer to accommodate existing services and site constraints. The new beam was coated in dark grey intumescent paint and left exposed. The brickwork above (which tells the story of various alterations to the building over the years) was repointed and also left exposed - this expresses the junction between the older Victorian part of the house and new extension to the rear. The walls either side of the opening were lined out in plasterboard to conceal both steel columns. This boxing also allowed us to do a lot - we ran services within the boxing, cleverly concealed the existing boiler nicely within the increased wall build up, widened the sill and reveals to the existing glass block window (we clad the reveals and sill in plywood to make a shelf for planting and ran an LED uplighter behind) and on the far side it allowed us to slot in some new recessed shelving adjacent to the breakfast bar. A new vaulted ceiling and large triple glazed roof light to the existing extension add volume to the space and help to bring light deeper into the plan. IKEA METOD carcasses have been given laminate-faced birch plywood doors and drawer fronts. All joinery items including the window reveals, ledges, recessed shelving, ‘box’ shelving, wine/ tray racks, extractor enclosure, boiler enclosure, kitchen doors and drawer fronts, storage boxes and bench seating were designed in house.

This modern kitchen update was a dream to work on. Every detail down to the lighting included inside the cabinets and drawers was well thought out executed by our team of designers, architects and builders. We are proud of the end result and more importantly our home owners are ecstatic and can't wait to spend every moment possible in their new mid century modern inspired kitchen.

The Scullery features the same cabinetry finish as the main kitchen, with the Nobilia 'Concrete Terra Grey Reproduction'. While here we have used our Nobilia wood-look laminate for the benchtop and incorporated a tile 'Epoque Ivory Tiles' supplied by Naturally Tiles. The use of these alternative materials in the scullery have kept the cost lower in this area, while creating a super functional complementary space to the main kitchen.

This minimal, mid-century modern remodel is a peaceful and no clutter space. The simplistic design of flat-panel cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, tiled focal wall, and monochromatic colors make for a perfect mid-century modern look.

This kitchen remodel was a great transformation, including stained cabinetry, stacked glass wall cabinets, modern touches and lines, and beautiful quartz counters.

This is a kitchen very dear to our hearts. It was time for our family kitchen to be expanded. Here's the finished project, we're madly in love with the new space! The cabinets are from Medallion in Oak French Roast. The countertops are Silestone Eternal Dusk. Mike's favorite feature is the Beverage Center with room for his chair. He loves hanging out in the kitchen and we can debrief as I do food prep or cleanup. I love the spacious area for my Baking Center. The Island is a beautiful gathering space as family and friends come together. I can easily continue food prep without feeling crowded. We are beyond Thankful for the new kitchen!

The dropped counter is the perfect height for chopping, kneading dough and rolling out pie crust for the 5'-4" tall primary cook. Small appliance storage and a mixer lift are strategically stored under the butcher block counter. The 'egg channel' allows eggs to be used in baking to come to room temperature without rolling off the countertop. This baking component of the prep station is strategically located near the wall ovens.
