Molly had 3 specific goals for her kitchen remodel: 1) Increase pantry space 2) Add a second sink, and 3) Create seating for 5. As I have seen in many kosher homes, they had swapped the dining room and living room. to make room for a large dining table. We opened up the kitchen to the former dining room for a more pleasant space with greater volume — but it still needed to function as a family space with a couch.

These clients were not afraid of color and wanted to be bold! Their old kitchen was closed off, dark and had no counter space. We took down two walls to make for an open concept between the breezeway and dining room. We ended up doing two tone cabinetry with navy blue bases and white uppers, along with orange grout. Yes, orange grout! I wasn't kidding when I said they wanted to be bold.. They also had the ideas of wrapping their oven orange for another pop of color.

White and navy kitchen designs are still a hot commodity. We opted for the two-toned colour palette in this kitchen design. We carried the white cabinets into the pantry to keep the space bright and differentiate this area from the main kitchen. The white and navy cabinets are complimented with stained maple floating shelves throughout the kitchen and pantry. In order to provide additional storage, we designed this walk-in pantry with a beautiful arched doorway. Adding classic finishes such as this beautiful granite countertop and textured backsplash tile really add an elegant touch to the overall design.

The Hammonds Croft collection stood out to them for its design but also for its beautiful painted finish.an island would work extremely well in the open space; a wooden oak breakfast bar seamlessly joined to the snowfall white quartz worktop added a great feature, convenient also for on the go dining. What’s more, with cupboards fitted into the island, painted in charcoal, this gave Mr and Mrs Mathews even more kitchen storage space. The deep pull out drawers and nifty corner shelves for tucking away cooking books and cups are just some of Hammonds clever storage solutions to make life easier in a clutter free kitchen. Also fitted into this kitchen is a Neff double oven, induction hob and Blanco sink and tap.

Ⅰ型ペニンシュラキッチンは最も一般的なレイアウトで、シンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫が横一線に並んだタイプのペニンシュラキッチンです。最近では、対面カウンターを付けて背面に収納スペースと冷蔵庫を置くなど、Ⅱ型やアイランド型に似たタイプのレイアウトも人気です。
Ⅱ型ペニンシュラキッチン
Ⅱ型キッチンはシンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫を2カ所に分け、平行に配置することで調理スペースを広げるレイアウトです。調理の際の動線が短くなるというメリットがあります。
L型ペニンシュラキッチン
L型ペニンシュラキッチンは、シンク、調理台、コンロがL字型に配置されたレイアウトです。ワークトライアングルを作りやすく、動線をコンパクトに抑えることができます。
アイランドペニンシュラキッチン
アイランドペニンシュラキッチンは独立型ペニンシュラキッチンとも呼ばれ、シンク、調理台などを壁面から独立させて設置するレイアウトです。調理台を囲むように作業ができるため、家族や友人など複数で楽しみながらキッチンを共有できます。ホームパーティーや料理教室をする際にも便利でしょう。
ペニンシュラペニンシュラキッチン
ペニンシュラは英語で「半島」を意味します。ペニンシュラキッチンの左右どちらかが壁に接しているレイアウトを指します。調理スペースがオープンになっているため、リビングやダイニングにいる方とコミュニケーションを取りながら調理できるというメリットがあります。

ビルトイン機器の選択

ペニンシュラキッチンタイプのレイアウト見直しと同時に、ビルトイン機器も検討されてみてはいかがでしょうか。ビルトイン機器とは、建物や家具、設備などの中に組み込んで利用する機器を指します。システムキッチンには、ビルトインコンロ、レンジフード、オーブンレンジ、食器洗浄乾燥機を組み込むことが可能です。ビルトインであればスタイリッシュにペニンシュラキッチンに溶け込み、インテリアの邪魔にもなりません。新築やリフォームの際に取り入れることをおすすめします。
