Peg and Randy had a wonderful experience working with APlus and were impressed with the incredible workmanship that went into the remodel. They started their journey looking at their options with stock cabinets and came to realize it wasn’t the best choice for them. A friend that was very happy with the remodel being completed at her home by APlus recommended they call to set up an appointment to meet with a designer. They met with Alex and loved his design ideas so they decided to hire APlus to remodel their kitchen. Peg and Randy were very pleased with the cost and were very surprised to find that a custom kitchen was well within their budget. When guest ask them how they came up with the design concept of the kitchen they praise Alex for coming up with such a gorgeous design. Many changes were made in the kitchen such as adding wonderful high end appliances and hiding the microwave from view. Prior to remodeling their kitchen they had such limited storage space in the kitchen that they resorted to using their garage to store items. This Lake Forest couple now has an amazing amount of hidden storage space with plenty of new space to spare. Kitchen was dated with its original 1971 cabinets. New maple cabinets were added. New Cambria quartz countertops with Blanco under mount sink. New black appliances and new backsplash.

Kitchen was a renovation of a 70's white plastic laminate kitchen. We gutted the room to allow for the taste of our clients to shine with updated materials. The cabinetry is custom from our own cabinetry line. The counter tops and backsplash are handpainted custom designed tiles made in France. The floors are wood beams cut short side and laid to show the grain. We also created a cabinetry nook made of stone to house a display area and server. We used the existing skylights, but to bring it all together we installed reclaimed wood clapboards on the ceiling and reclaimed wood timbers to create some sense of architecture. The Commandants House in Charlestown Navy Yard. I was asked to design the kitchen for this historic house in Boston. My inspiration was a family style kitchen that was youthful and had a nod to it's historic past. The combination of wormy cherry wood custom cabinets, and painted white inset cabinets works well with the existing black and white floor. The island was a one of kind that I designed to be functional with a wooden butcher block and compost spot for prep, the other half a durable honed black granite. This island really works in this busy city kitchen.

This Craftsman style house went from 1950s split-level to contemporary design featuring a large family room with oak truss ceiling, outdoor decks and a walk-out basement. We used most of the existing foundation and first-floor perimeter walls and embraced the narrow, deep lot. This was a Design Build speculative house that started a trend of upgrading the entire street.

Recalling the Old World flavor of the Italian Countryside, this traditional kitchen features ivory plaster walls and reclaimed wood beams in a rich honey stain. The distressed and glazed finish of the center island coordinates with the walls, while its extra-thick wood top matches the stain of the perimeter cabinets. Topping the perimeter cabinetry is doubly thick quartzite with an ogee edge. The mosaic tile backsplash in shades of ivory, cream, and gold adds just the right amount of shimmer. Hanging above the island are a pair of gold and glass mini chandeliers which pull in the gold of the sconces that flank the limestone hood by Francois & Co. Bronze cabinet hardware adds a bit of jewelry to this hard-working space. A glimpse of beautiful blue linen draperies in the living room can be seen through the doorway.

This is a million dollar house on Lake Martin that had builder grad therma-foil cabinets. The ceilings are 10' tall and we removed existing soffits and went all the way to the ceiling. The kitchen is now the show place of the house and feels so much bigger.
