This kitchen was updated with Medallion maple wood species, Middleton door with a flat panel in Sandpiper Classic paint on the perimeter of the kitchen. The bar area and shelving unit and kitchen island features frameless cabinets by Design Craft in maple wood species, Potter Mills door style with flat center panel French Roast stain with Sable glaze and highlight. The countertops are Eternia Castlebar quartz with a roundover edge and a Blanco white fireclay apron front sink. Moen single handle faucet in matte black. A 4-light candelabra pendant light by Park Harbor hangs over the island and a Seagull 5-light Ravenwood chandelier hangs over the dining room table.

The original home, built in the early 1940’s had an historical charm the home owners wanted to preserve in this full kitchen renovation. White shaker cabinets, a foolproof solution when dealing with the narrow space of a galley kitchen, were softened with an inset cove moulding and complemented with crown moulding. Reclaimed bricks were hand-picked, sliced and veneered to mimic the existing fireplace surround and exterior of the home. The patina of the hardware, cinnamon stained hardwoods, traditional champagne faucet and cast iron sink infused warmth and character in this kitchen. Layering natural materials along with aged finishes results in a classic European aesthetic perfectly suited for this home.

This spectacular two-tone West Pennant Hills kitchen cleverly incorporates all the practical needs of a family space without compromising visual appeal and charm. The heart of a bustling family home, the elongated space required extensive yet discreet pantry storage and a large work surface. Inspired, but not restricted, by the Hamptons style, we carefully selected each element to create a visual feast. The black island stretches impressively along the length of the kitchen, its striking Calacatta marble Benchtop presenting a substantial work surface. The dark cabinetry expresses a sense of depth, contrasted against the backdrop of tall white cabinetry. Disappearing into the clean white surroundings, the Ceasarstone bench in Pure White complements the tiled splashback, allowing the Calacatta island to be the hero.
