Challenge: Not too many! Homeowners were a joy to work with, and the home was build on a large estate lot along the Concho River. We wanted to ensure all views of interiors were oriented to the backyard, pool and river. We also wanted to capture the feeling of the ruggedness of the land and serenity of the river, elegantly and simply. Solution: Hiring a great architect is always the perfect beginning. The base design took great advantage of the views of the beauty around. External stone was also carried inside, cladding a wall that slices through the center of the house in the living room and beyond through patio. Cutting into this wall is a fireplace in the living room, and a fireplace in the patio. The stone became the launch pad for the color scheme. We decided to keep design elements softly modern, even organic, to connect visual and tactile senses to nature. All textiles are natural fibers. In the wonderfully open kitchen/living/dining space, we left the support beams rough and stained them with a bit of gray glaze. The vent hood is iron; the back splash is a glazed brick; roman shade embroidered. Book shelving in dining is painted a metallic bronze. Island has a leathered quartzite top and cabinetry is stained. Master bed and bath offer quiet drama- colors are soft grays, but arrangement of tile surrounding the fireplace above soaking tub is quite attention getting. The custom 7' master bed is upholstered in gray velvet. Fit for a queen!

The raw exposed brick contrasts with the beautifully made cabinetry to create a warm look to this kitchen, a perfect place to entertain family and friends. The wire scroll handle in burnished brass with matching hinges is the final flourish that perfects the design. The Kavanagh has a stunning central showpiece in its island. Well-considered and full of practical details, the island features impeccable carpentry with high-end appliances and ample storage. The shark tooth edge worktop in Lapitec (REG) Arabescato Michelangelo is in stunning relief to the dark nightshade finish of the cabinets. Whether you treat cooking as an art form or as a necessary evil, the integrated Pro Appliances will help you to make the most of your kitchen. The Kavanagh includes’ Wolf M Series Professional Single Oven, Wolf Transitional Induction Hob, Miele Integrated Dishwasher and a Sub-Zero Integrated Wine Fridge.

The bold colour choice injects a sense of vibrancy and freshness into the space, instantly elevating the atmosphere. The rich, warm tones of the brushed golden handles provide a luxurious touch, enhancing the overall look of the kitchen.

"Chicago brick style kitchen", we designed this kitchen around of reclaimed Chicago brick, satin quartzite, reclaimed wood counter tops and custom design copper vent hood. The mix of natural materials with sophisticated style of Subzero appliances give a best combination of traditional and contemporary, equating to a classic, timeless design

The “Industrial shaker” – notice the bare red Cheshire brick feature wall – A classic shaker style kitchen in modern deep grey with grey slate floor, and hardwearing white quartz worktops around the cooking area and a rich luxurious solid oak island worktop – see how the furniture perfectly sits underneath the oak beam to the ceiling – a classic and instant hallmark of bespoke manufacture and installation - notice the modern way of cooking with cutting-edge multi-function ovens set at eye level for ease of use, the wide seamless induction hob set in a break-fronted worktop run for deeper worksurface where its needed most, and “WOW” glass extractor hood, framed by classic glazed wall units for glasses and cups/plates. Note the bifold dresser hiding the small appliances (Mixer/blender/toaster) merging into the tall larder and huge side by side fridge and freezer. Again the sink is on the island but inset into the beautiful solid oak oiled worktop. With contemporary chrome rinse monobloc tap. The island feature side has a wine cooler, and a breakfast bar conveniently located to grab that next glass of wine!. Simple chrome cup and ball handles finish off that industrial modern look. We are delighted to share this stunning kitchen with you. Often with simple design comes complicated processes. Careful consideration was paid when picking out the material for this project. From the outset we knew the oak had to be vintage and have lots of character and age. This is beautiful balanced with the new and natural rubber forbo doors. This kitchen is up there with our all time favourites. We love a challenge. MATERIALS- Vintage oak drawers / Iron Forbo on valchromat doors / concrete quartz work tops / black valchromat cabinets.
