Fotograf: Jens Schumann Der vielsagende Name „Black Beauty“ lag den Bauherren und Architekten nach Fertigstellung des anthrazitfarbenen Fassadenputzes auf den Lippen. Zusammen mit den ausgestülpten Fensterfaschen in massivem Lärchenholz ergibt sich ein reizvolles Spiel von Farbe und Material, Licht und Schatten auf der Fassade in dem sonst eher unauffälligen Straßenzug in Berlin-Biesdorf. Das ursprünglich beige verklinkerte Fertighaus aus den 90er Jahren sollte den Bedürfnissen einer jungen Familie angepasst werden. Sie leitet ein erfolgreiches Internet-Startup, Er ist Ramones-Fan und -Sammler, Moderator und Musikjournalist, die Tochter ist gerade geboren. So modern und unkonventionell wie die Bauherren sollte auch das neue Heim werden. Eine zweigeschossige Galeriesituation gibt dem Eingangsbereich neue Großzügigkeit, die Zusammenlegung von Räumen im Erdgeschoss und die Neugliederung im Obergeschoss bieten eindrucksvolle Durchblicke und sorgen für Funktionalität, räumliche Qualität, Licht und Offenheit. Zentrale Gestaltungselemente sind die auch als Sitzgelegenheit dienenden Fensterfaschen, die filigranen Stahltüren als Sonderanfertigung sowie der ebenso zum industriellen Charme der Türen passende Sichtestrich-Fußboden. Abgerundet wird der vom Charakter her eher kraftvolle und cleane industrielle Stil durch ein zartes Farbkonzept in Blau- und Grüntönen Skylight, Light Blue und Dix Blue und einer Lasurtechnik als Grundton für die Wände und kräftigere Farbakzente durch Craqueléfliesen von Golem. Ausgesuchte Leuchten und Lichtobjekte setzen Akzente und geben den Räumen den letzten Schliff und eine besondere Rafinesse. Im Außenbereich lädt die neue Stufenterrasse um den Pool zu sommerlichen Gartenparties ein.

We worked with a world famous, vegan chef on this sustainable, open and bright kitchen. The space was separated into a cooking area which could be used as a movie set, and a separated clean up space. Durable, but attractive materials were used in this kitchen that opens up to a family room and edible garden.

This Los Altos kitchen features cabinets from Aran Cucine’s Bijou collection in Gefilte matte glass, with upper wall cabinets in white matte glass. The massive island, with a white granite countertop fabricated by Bay StoneWorks, features large drawers with Blum Intivo custom interiors on the working side, and Stop Sol glass cabinets with an aluminum frame on the front of the island. A bronze glass tile backsplash and bronze lamps over the island add color and texture to the otherwise black and white kitchen. Appliances from Miele and a sink by TopZero complete the project.

We are absolutely thrilled to share the finished photos of this year's Homearama we were lucky to be apart of thanks to G.A. White Homes. This week we will be sharing the kitchen, pantry, and living area. All of these spaces use Marsh Furniture's Apex door style to create a uniquely clean and modern living space. The Apex door style is very minimal making it the perfect cabinet to showcase statement pieces like a stunning counter top or floating shelves. This project entailed converting a 150-year church into a family home. The right-hand wall of the kitchen is comprised of shallow pantries to achieve maximum storage with exceptional accessibility and centuate the height of the kitchen area. In order to avoid cutting GPO’s and isolating switches into the Caesar Stone “Statuario Nuvo” splash back we constructed 50mm wide panels for cable voids and balanced these with 50mm fillers at each end of the cabinet run. Low profile task lights and cables routed into the matching Lamiwood “Blackened Linewood” under panels are positioned forward for maximum light were required. The selection of Colour Panel “New Stainless Steel” in a velour finish on the shallow pantries and broom sides of the kitchen gives a subtle end note to the more dramatic “Blackened Linewood” of the central cabinets and island. This also adds to the impactful balance achieved with the pendant and racked ceilings sky lights. We have created a masterpiece of modern utilitarianism with a classic look befitting the rebirth of a grand old building.

The epitome of style and sophistication stands before you. This kitchen would be a dream for the majority of us and we are incredibly proud of this design to say the least. The grand space features a white flat panel door style with quartzite countertops, and mitered waterfall edges on the island. A large stone wall behind the cook top, provides a breathtaking focal point, adding to opulence of the room. You will also see one of the islands contains The Galley sink workstation. This workstation provides an incredible prep area that will ramp up your chef skills, making you more efficient and more stylish to boot. Finally, we have incorporated a refrigerator and wall oven that is integrated into the cabinetry creating a flush finish that is easy to clean and even more beautiful to look at.
