This kitchen was only made possible by a combination of manipulating the architecture of the house and redefining the spaces. Some structural limitations gave rise to elegant solutions in the design of the demising walls and the ceiling over the kitchen. This ceiling design motif was repeated for the breakfast area and the dining room adjacent. The former porch was captured to the interior for an enhanced breakfast room. New defining walls established a language that was repeated in the cabinet layout. A walnut eating bar is shaped to match the walnut cabinets that surround the fridge. This bridge shape was again repeated in the shape of the countertop. Two-tone cabinets of black gloss lacquer and horizontal grain-matched walnut create a striking contrast to each other and are complimented by the limestone floor and stainless appliances. By intentionally leaving the cooktop wall empty of uppers that tough the ceiling, a simple solution of walnut backsplash panels adds to the width perception of the room. A beautiful modern kitchen with a cream custom range hood and upper cabinets, and custom hazelnut-stained lower cabients. The cabinetry is complimented with black hardware throughout and a cream Soho quartz countertop and backsplash.

We gave this 1978 home a magnificent modern makeover that the homeowners love! Our designers were able to maintain the great architecture of this home but remove necessary walls, soffits and doors needed to open up the space. In the living room, we opened up the bar by removing soffits and openings, to now seat 6. The original low brick hearth was replaced with a cool floating concrete hearth from floor to ceiling. The wall that once closed off the kitchen was demoed to 42" counter top height, so that it now opens up to the dining room and entry way. The coat closet opening that once opened up into the entry way was moved around the corner to open up in a less conspicuous place. The secondary master suite used to have a small stand up shower and a tiny linen closet but now has a large double shower and a walk in closet, all while maintaining the space and sq. ft.in the bedroom. 10 Years ago we designed and built this stunning piece of bespoke joinery, we had the great please to go back recently to reshoot as the original our clients where selling the apartment and we just had to see it one more time. Natürlich ließ sich das Andrea nicht zwei Mal anbieten und stattete Zeyko einen Besuch ab – kurz gesagt: Wir sind begeistert! Nicht umsonst wurde das Unternehmen im letzten Jahr mit zwei Red Dot Design Awards ausgezeichnet, sowie in den Kategorien interior innovation awards und Best of Best der Living Kitchen 2015!
