123 Remodeling crew and our in-house interior designer Jenna Rose completely renovated this large kitchen in Skokie, Illinois. Our team created a fresh and modern space to cook and gather with family and friends over a large dining table. We started with structural changes and demolished a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining area to create an open concept. Then we built a massive Carrera marble quartz island that is as functional as luxurious looking with a built-in wine cooler, dishwasher, and microwave. Three stylish pendant lights and a dozen of recessed can lights make the room feel larger and brighter. We opted-in for a counter-depth stainless sub-zero refrigerator and encased it with a custom-made cabinet extension. While white is traditional and the most popular color for kitchens, it's easy for such a room to look stark and cold. So our designer mixed glossy white cabinets with gray backsplash tiles and white-gray countertops. We also intermixed it with the natural oak shelves and plant decor to add warm contrasting elements. Hamptons inspired with a contemporary Aussie twist, this five-bedroom home in Ryde was custom designed and built by Horizon Homes to the specifications of the owners, who wanted an extra wide hallway, media room, and upstairs and downstairs living areas. The ground floor living area flows through to the kitchen, generous butler's pantry and outdoor BBQ area overlooking the garden.

There is a lot to consider when designing a kitchen for a busy family. The kitchen is the centre of family life which means it's important to create a space that all the family can enjoy at the same time. Our brief was to design and create a kitchen that is both practical and beautiful for a busy working family, who enjoy socialising and entertaining guests. The result: "The new kitchen has really made a difference to day to day life, the end result has exceeded our expectations."

Taking inspiration from elements of both American and Belgian kitchen design, this custom crafted kitchen is a reflection of its owner’s personal taste. Rather than going for two contrasting colours, one sole shade has been selected in Helen Turkington Goat’s Beard to achieve a serene scheme, teamed with Calacatta marble work surfaces and splashback for a luxurious finish. Balancing form and function, practical storage solutions have been created to accommodate all kitchen essentials, with generous space dedicated to larder storage, integrated refrigeration and a concealed breakfast station in one tall run of beautifully crafted furniture.

This home remodel was an incredible transformation that turned a traditional Boulder home into an open concept, refined space perfect for hosting. The Melton design team aimed at keeping the space fresh, which included industrial design elements to keep the space feeling modern. Our favorite aspect of this home transformation is the openness from room to room. The open concept allows plenty of opportunities for this lively family to host often and comfortably.

This timeless and functional kitchen is full of custom cabinets, large appliance panels, and even a stylish and functional ladder. Outfitted with a scullery, a drink station, and a mudroom, this transformation put a spin on the classics in their bright, modern kitchen flip. With time-traveling pieces like a functional sliding ladder for out-of-reach storage and a drink station reminiscent of an old-fashioned hotel bar, it takes accent pieces like geometric pendant lighting to return us to the modern day.
