The Ascension - Super Ranch on Acreage in Ridgefield Washington by Cascade West Development Inc. for the Clark County Parade of Homes 2016. As soon as you pass under the timber framed entry and through the custom 8ft tall double-doors you’re immersed in a landscape of high ceilings, sharp clean lines, soft light and sophisticated trim. The expansive foyer you’re standing in offers a coffered ceiling of 12ft and immediate access to the central stairwell. Procession to the Great Room reveals a wall of light accompanied by every angle of lush forest scenery. Overhead a series of exposed beams invite you to cross the room toward the enchanting, tree-filled windows. In the distance a coffered-box-beam ceiling rests above a dining area glowing with light, flanked by double islands and a wrap-around kitchen, they make every meal at home inclusive. The kitchen is composed to entertain and promote all types of social activity; large work areas, ubiquitous storage and very few walls allow any number of people, large or small, to create or consume comfortably. An integrated outdoor living space, with it’s large fireplace, formidable cooking area and built-in BBQ, acts as an extension of the Great Room further blurring the line between fabricated and organic settings. Flush panel, stained walnut wall cabinets are interspersed with opaque glass doors, open shelves and floating shelves. On both sides of the stove, industrial roll-out shelves provide open storage for pots and pans. Pull-out pantries on either side of the refrigerator allow easy access for cooking staples. The flush soffit detail adds to the linear quality of the space. We are so excited to share with you this beautiful kitchen remodel in Lakeville, MN. Our clients came to us wanting to take out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. By taking out the wall, we were able to create a new larger kitchen! We kept the sink in the same location, and then moved the stove to the same wall as the sink. The fridge was moved to the far wall, we added an oven/micro combinations and a large pantry. We even had some extra room to create a desk space. The coolest thing about this kitchen is the DOUBLE island! The island closest to the sink functions as a working island and the other is for entertaining with seating for guests. What really shines here is the combination of color that creates such a beautiful subtle elegance. The warm gray color of the cabinets were paired with the brown stained cabinets on the island. We then selected darker honed granite countertops on the perimeter cabinets and a light gray quartz countertop for the islands. The slightly marbled backsplash helps to tie everything in and give such a richness to the whole kitchen. I love adding little pops throughout the kitchen, so matte black hardware and the matte black sink light are perfect! We are so happy with the final result of this kitchen! This kitchen remodel gave the lakhouse a generous space for entertaining, cooking, eating and work. We opened up the previous sunroom and created the beverage and snack area with a televison for expanded use. The seating island doubles as a working counter with file cabinets and ample computer storage in the cabinets below. Stained wood trim throughout the existing lakehouse blends in with the new wood flooring and the blue and white accents tie everything together.

The client's kitchen set was re-purposed and moved to the breakfast room. The old gas insert was updated and a stack stoned fireplace with a reclaimed wood mantle was added. The wall was above the fireplace was done in Marmorino plaster while the walls were done in a faux painting technique to mimic plaster
