We are pleased to announce our project has been awarded the 2016 Best Kitchen Renovation under $25,000 by the Home Builders Association of Metro Harrisburg! Kitchen designed by Tracy West, project installed by Robert Sykora, and photos by Elliot Quintin. Jack and Ellen of Red Lion, PA chose a flat panel contemporary door style. The bar hardware complements the cabinets and appliances perfectly. The smoked glass backsplash is a perfect fit. The red glass accent line gives the space an elegant pop of color. Jack and Ellen added their red accessories finalizing the Wow Factor! This space received a total make over including DeWils cabinetry, Alterna flooring and Interceramic backsplash. Cambria quartz countertops and a functional farm sink complete the look.

The clients believed the peninsula footprint was required due to the unique entry points from the hallway leading to the dining room and the foyer. The new island increases storage, counters and a more pleasant flow of traffic from all directions. The biggest challenge was trying to make the structural beam that ran perpendicular to the space work in a new design; it was off center and difficult to balance the cabinetry and functional spaces to work with it. In the end it was decided to increase the budget and invest in moving the header in the ceiling to achieve the best design, esthetically and funcationlly. Specific storage designed to meet the clients requests include: - pocket doors at counter tops for everyday appliances - deep drawers for pots, pans and Tupperware - island includes designated zone for baking supplies - tall and shallow pantry/food storage for easy access near island - pull out spice near cooking - tray dividers for assorted baking pans/sheets, cutting boards and numerous other serving trays - cutlery and knife inserts and built in trash/recycle bins to keep things organized and convenient to use, out of sight - custom design hutch to hold various, yet special dishes and silverware Elements of design chosen to meet the clients wishes include: - painted cabinetry to lighten up the room that lacks windows and give relief/contrast to the expansive wood floors - monochromatic colors throughout give peaceful yet elegant atmosphere o stained island provides interest and warmth with wood, but still unique in having a different stain than the wood floors – this is repeated in the tile mosaic backsplash behind the rangetop - punch of fun color used on hutch for a unique, furniture feel - carefully chosen detailed embellishments like the tile mosaic, valance toe boards, furniture base board around island, and island pendants are traditional details to not only the architecture of the home, but also the client’s furniture and décor. - Paneled refrigerator minimizes the large appliance, help keeping an elegant feel Superior cooking equipment includes a combi-steam oven, convection wall ovens paired with a built-in refrigerator with interior air filtration to better preserve fresh foods. This Poggenpohl handleless kitchen is set within a stunning detached property on a lakeside setting. The kitchen area looks onto a large living space surrounded by glass with views over the lake. Using nature as an inspiration we decided to use a natural granite worktop to complement the minimalist style of the Poggenpohl kitchen units. Again in contrast to the clean lines of the units and island the granite back panel edge detail is rough cut rather than a smooth polish. The ceiling is clad in stainless steel however above the island we have a suspended bulkhead in white to help reflect light onto the island surface. This feature also shows off caged black lighting by Buster and Punch. Wall sockets also by Buster and Punch in matt black. The central island is very functional housing both the sink and hob. The Miele hob has integrated extraction which is efficient as well as aesthetically pleasing. No need for a bulky overhead cooker hood interrupting the sensational lake view.

Originally only having units running along one side of the room, our client enjoys cooking and urgently required additional space. Whilst completing the full property refurbishment, WBC assisted with the planning of this room and custom-adjusted cabinets to a narrower depth, which meant the space is now able to host units on either elevation. With integrated appliances, the overall aesthetic is of simple-clean lines with an eclectic edge.

Основная задача при проектировании интерьера этой квартиры стояла следующая: сделать из изначально двухкомнатной квартиры комфортную трехкомнатную для семейной пары, учтя при этом все пожелания и «хотелки» заказчиков. Основными пожеланиями по перепланировке были: максимально увеличить санузел, сделать его совмещенным, с отдельно стоящей большой душевой кабиной. Сделать просторную удобную кухню, которая по изначальной планировке получилась совсем небольшая и совмещенную с ней гостиную. Хотелось большую гардеробную-кладовку и большой шкаф в прихожей. И третью комнату, которая будет служить в первые пару-тройку лет кабинетом и гостевой, а затем легко превратится в детскую для будущего малыша. Дизайнер Алена Николаева, фотограф Роман Мокров
