We remodeled this spacious kitchen to make it more functional by adding accessories inside every one of the Showplace cabinets. The clients wanted to make a statement with the Atlas granite that they selected so we incorporated in not only for the countertops in the kitchen and butler's kitchen but also for the backsplash and nook table top.

This Queenstown home features Trends Kitchens joinery throughout, including all storage, robes, a bar and a coffee station. The kitchen boasts a spectacular stone benchtop, with battened American Oak to the underside of the curved island. The negative details feature a brass laminate detail to tie in the marble in the stone, alongside the stunning Archant Berkley handles.

This beautiful kitchen was brought to life by simply rearranging and modifying a few cabinets and having them painted in Sherwin Williams Iron Ore. The desk area is now a microwave drawer and where the microwave used to be above the stove is now an awesome hood! New quartz countertops, herringbone patterned tile and hardware were additional upgrades to the space to give it an entirely different look!

DIY Kitchen Splash project is fun and interesting. Client wanted to update their galley-style kitchen and chose to update with new countertops and backsplash. Furthermore, the choice of new granite with greys, blacks, and hints of green tones exquisitely marbled throughout the countertop is stunning. In addition, the client needed backsplash to enhance the colors in their granite. Working with a French Creek Kitchen Designer they found the right sample. Similarly, this glass and stone mix pulled together the tones from the granite and beautifully enhances their oak cabinets. Our client's galley kitchen lacked practical storage with an outdated layout that didn’t flow. They approached Matter to maximise the available storage with a more cohesive layout to suit their evolving needs in the years ahead. They allowed near free reign over design and materials, with one simple request that each are equally contemporary and functional. Our design solution combines hard-wearing Blackbutt plywood and grey Forescolor MDF for the door and drawer fronts with laminate-face plywood carcasses. As the MDF has a full colour core, we added a new handle design that cut into the face on a taper, enabling a larger finger-pull and play of light on the surface. Solid Blackbutt handles and vertical partitions are a contemporary take on traditional frame and panel doors. For a touch of indulgence, we added beautifully dramatic Faustina quartzite bench tops and splashbacks from Artedomus. All lower cupboards were replaced with drawers featuring adjustable partitions and a large pull-out Kesseböhmer pantry to ensure food is easily accessed. The oven and microwave were moved next to the stove area and raised for better accessibility. A bench top appliance nook hides away the kettle and toaster behind a custom-made Blackbutt tambour door. We also replaced a section of overhead cupboards with slatted shelving and a mirrored backing that reflects natural light to open up the tight space. Lastly, we added a pull-up bench at the end of the galley to allow our client all the surface area they need to continue to cook meals with complete ease.

This gorgeous modern home sits along a rushing river and includes a separate enclosed pavilion. Distinguishing features include the mixture of metal, wood and stone textures throughout the home in hues of brown, grey and black.
