The kitchen was transformed by removing the entire back wall, building a staircase leading to the basement below and creating a glass box over it opening it up to the back garden.The deVol kitchen has Studio Green shaker cabinets and reeded glass. The splash back is aged brass and the worktops are quartz marble and reclaimed school laboratory iroko worktop for the island. The kitchen has reclaimed pine pocket doors leading onto the breakfast room.

Bilotta Collection Cabinetry is a unique line of American-made custom cabinetry exclusively for Bilotta by their partner factory in PA. Made only with the highest quality materials available, Bilotta Collection Cabinetry is artistically built to satisfy their design team’s demanding specifications, to reflect meticulous attention to detail and to offer unique cutting-edge features that are exclusive to Bilotta. In the spring of 2018, Bilotta launched a brand-new design under their private collection line in their A&D Building showroom in Manhattan. Designed by Goran Savic, the display is a trendsetting mix of contrasting dark and light grainy rift cut white oak. The wall cabinets and hood enclosure are brilliant brass frames with ribbed glass inserts. The brass is then repeated in the open shelves, custom Armac Martin hardware, and as the inlay in the textured Bianco Carrara backsplash by Artistic Tile. Cabinet interiors and drawer boxes are a repeat of the lighter color oak and the countertops are polished Dark Orobico Arabescato marble also by Artistic Tile. The sink and faucet are by The Galley Workstation and The Galley Tap creating the ideal space for any aspiring chef. The project is located in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The client’s a young family and the husband is a very passionate cook. The kitchen was a gut renovation. The all white kitchen mixes modern and traditional elements with an oversized island, storage all the way around, a buffet, open shelving, a butler’s pantry and appliances that steal the show. Butler's Pantry Details include: -This space is multifunction and is used as an office, a coffee bar and for a liquor bar when entertaining -Dark artichoke green cabinetry custom by Dresner Design private label line with De Angelis -Upper cabinets are burnished brass mesh and antique mirror with brass antiquing -Hardware from Katonah with a antiqued brass finish -A second subzero refrigerated drawer is located in the butler’s pantry along with a second Miele dishwasher, a warming drawer by Dacor, and a Microdrawer by Wolf -Lighting in the desk is on motion sensor and by Hafale -Backsplash, polished Calcutta Gold marble mosaic from Artistic Tile -Zinc top reclaimed and fabricated by Avenue Metal -Custom interior drawers are solid oak with Wenge stain -Trimless cans were used throughout -Kallista Sink is a hammered nickel -Faucet by Kallista

Dinette Fixture: Artcraft Chrome Blossom 25 LED lights, 24" high, 25.5" wide chrome and glass Island Pendants: MODERN CRYSTAL FLOWERS LED PENDANT SKU PE17157 Backsplash Tile: AKDO Ethered Nova Carrara Bella (H) with Stainless Steel Countertops: Cambria Brittanica In the remodeled kitchen, the cooktop is positioned closer to the sink to provide an efficient work triangle. The decorative chimney hood and marble and stainless inset backsplash create a stunning focal point. GE Monogram appliances provide this avid cook with a chef style kitchen. Replacing their pantry closet area with new pantry cabinets with rollout shelves allow for increased functionality. The crisp, clean look of the custom white Medallion cabinets pop against the dark Pewter Maple hardwood floors. Chosen for its timeless appearance, the organic design on the countertops contrasts the geometric marble backsplash tile, and the crystal dinette and pendant lights add sparkle and sophistication to the room. This kitchen is now a contemporary, family-friendly, entertainment space.

Messing ist nichts für Putzteufel. Die Inspiration hatte die Bauherrin natürlich von Instagram und die Materialeigenschaften waren bekannt und sogar erwünscht. "Das paßt zu unserem alten Haus!" (Tatsächlich sieht es auf dem Foto nicht so gut aus wie in Wirklichkeit. Der warme Schimmer durchbricht das viele Schwarz.)
