Cooking essentials are all within reach for the serious chefs in this home! Faced with a cramped eat-in kitchen our job was to both maximize and open up the space. By relocating the refrigerator and surrounding it with pantry cabinets, we were able to create more counter space and allow space for two chefs. Warm stained-wood open corner shelving was installed to display the chefs’ favorite items and keep them right at an arm's reach. The breakfast table is now positioned at the window, giving diners a view of the beautiful backyard. The finishes (Executive Cabinetry - Putnam door style in Alabaster paint; Belgian Blue Satin quartz counters by Alleanza) blend seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Wow! We just love how dazzling this new Cambria countertop is. It really picks up the beautiful coastal color from the sleek sea glass subway tile in the backsplash. Combined with new durable Cali Vinyl longboard planks, stainless cooking appliances, sink and faucet, it really transforms the space without having to remodel the entire kitchen.

The island houses an extra-wide under-counter wine fridge with dual cooling zones. The pantry was originally where the fridge is, and during the design phase we explored options of swapping locations to create a more functional work triangle.

Nos encontramos con un piso muy oscuro, con muchas divisorias y sin carácter alguno. Nuestros clientes necesitaban un hogar acorde con su día a día y estilo; 3-4 habitaciones, dos baños y mucho espacio para las zonas comunes. ¡Este piso necesitaba un diseño integral! Diferenciamos zona de día y de noche; dándole más luz a las zonas comunes y calidez a las habitaciones. Como actualmente solo necesitaban 3 habitaciones apostamos por crear un cerramiento móvil entre las más pequeñas. Baños con carácter, gracias a las griferías y baldosas en espiga con colores suaves y luminosos. La pared de ladrillo blanco nos guía desde la entrada de la vivienda hasta el salón comedor, nos aporta textura sin quitar luz. La cocina abierta integra el mueble del salón y recoge la zona de comedor con un banco que siguiendo la pared amueblada. Por último, le damos un toque cálido y rústico con las bigas de madera en el techo. Este es uno de esos proyectos que refleja como ha cambiado el día a día y nuestras necesidades.

The island is large enough to comfortably fit four people, and the range actually has two ovens, making it ideal for preparing meals small and large.

The kitchen was renovated with all new cabinets, fixtures and Energy Star™ appliances. The flat ceiling was raised for additional space. Decorative tile is from Oceanside Tile and is made from recycled glass. The flooring is individual, hand laid quarter sawn and rift cut oak parquet. Kipnis Architecture + Planning
