Recessed Legrand outlets in the corners of each island and under the uppers in the cooking area. Customized painted plate covers help to 'hide' the outlets.

Our Indianapolis studio designed this new construction home for empty nesters. We completed the interior and exterior design for the 4,500 sq ft home. The client wanted to create an elegant, upscale kosher kitchen with double cooking and cleaning areas. The custom cabinets are frameless, captured inset, and painted, with walnut drawer boxes. The refrigerator and matching buffets are also walnut. The main stove was custom painted as well as the hood and adjacent cabinets as a focal point. Brass faucets, hardware, mesh screens and hood trim add to the elegance. The ceiling treatment over the island and eating area combine wood details and wallpaper to complete the look. We continued this theme throughout the house.

Fabuwood Birch Galaxy Pecan cabinets with dovetail drawers and soft-close glides and hinges are completed by the matching crown moulding. The all-wood cabinets are accented by granite countertops, Cabot Road backsplash, recessed lights, LED Task Lighting, and Quartz stone flooring.

Beautifully crafted White glazed cabinets. Astoria Granite countertops with Glass Tile with mosaic insert over stove top. Black Stainless appliances paired with African Mahogany floors. Lastly, we repainted and reupholstered the Chairs and Barstools.

Modern U-Shaped kitchen, a perfect spot for breakfast when all the kids are there! You can have everyone sit on either side of the U-shape counters which makes for a great area for conversion. The modern ship-lap backsplash is sleek and clean, bringing in the grey color fits this home wonderfully.

We used family-friendly interiors using cheerful colors reminiscent of the beach - sand, sea-grass, water, and sky. To avoid feeling overly coastal, we made a point to incorporate the colors they love in subtle ways. Project designed by Boston interior design studio Dane Austin Design. Overview: -Young family with two small children wanted open, livable home, conducive to seeing everywhere and being together -The kitchen was isolated but was key to project’s success, as it is the central axis of the first level Solutions: -Remove one of the two staircases, plus the powder room, pantry, and remove or shorten walls to create the desired open floor plan -New configuration opens the kitchen to every room on lower level, except formal dining -New double islands triple previous counter space and doubles previous storage -Six bar stools offer ample seating for casual family meals and entertaining -With a nod to the children, all upholstery in the Kitchen/ Breakfast Room are indoor/outdoor fabrics -Removing & shortening walls between kitchen/family room/informal dining allows views, a total house connection, plus the architectural changes in these adjoining rooms enhances the kitchen experience -Cream cabinetry contrasts with dark stain accents on the island, hood & ceiling beams -Back splash is over-scaled subway tile; pewter cabinetry hardware -Fantasy Brown granite counters have a "leather-ed" finish -The focal point and center of activity now stems from the kitchen – it’s truly the Heart of this Home.

This once entirely enclosed kitchen was in need a modern update. The clients wanted a space that could function for private gatherings as well as business functions. Complete with plug-ins and USB ports at every spot at the island and an over-sized banquet table to accommodate 12 if necessary, this condominium can host a variety of events. The panoramic views only make cooking in the gourmet kitchen, that much more enticing.
