Cet appartement se situe sur les deux derniers étages d’un ancien hôtel particulier avec des vues incroyables sur les toits et les monuments de Paris. C’est donc un duplex de 220 m2 avec un grand espace de réception décloisonné et plusieurs chambres et salles de bain. Les clients ayant beaucoup résidé à l’étranger souhaitaient s’installer définitivement dans ce bel appartement. Pour cela il fallait le refaire à leur goût en collant à leur style de vie. Les enfants de ce couple sont grands, ils commencent eux-même à avoir des enfants. Certains habitent à l’étranger et il était important qu’il y ait un espace pour recevoir enfants et petits enfants confortablement. Nous avons respecté le style et les contraintes du bâtiment. Les anciens propriétaires avaient créé des pièces consécutives dans l’espace vie/convivialité et les clients préféraient ouvrir au maximum. Nous avons refait de nombreux éléments dans les règles de l’art, et notamment les moulures en staff, les vitraux à l’ancienne, la cheminée du salon qui avait été détruite ainsi que les parquets en très mauvais état. Toutes les fenêtres de l’appartement ont été changées en respectant le style de l’existant. Cheminée entièrement refaite à l’ancienne, menuiserie sur mesure en mdf peint et en placage chêne naturel, électrification LED des menuiseries, volets intérieurs en bois à panneaux sur fenêtres gueule de loup à l’ancienne. Vitraux entièrement refaits, moulures staff reprises entièrement... Tout le soin a été apporté à cette belle rénovation pour un résultat optimal. GD Arredamenti teams up with Colonnade Group and architect Morris Adjmi for a new boutique residential development located in the Tribeca West Historic District, New York. The gracious interiors, design by Stefano Pasqualetti, and the layouts of these apartments provide for a quiet respite from city life and elegant entertaining; Velvet Elite walnut kitchen collection was used in a combination of frosted white glass with black aluminum frame and both walnut veneer and 3-layer solid Walnut (for the Penthouse only). In addition, beautiful marbles from Italy enrich the whole apartments; accordingly top of the line appliances from Miele and Subzero-Wolf makes these kitchens highly functional and yet beautiful. Master bathrooms and powder rooms, elegantly clad in custom etched Carrara marble, were also designed with the use of natural materials; such as custom built washbasins in Piasentina stone and Serena stone, all manufactured by GD Arredamenti. A couple with two young children appointed FPA to refurbish a large semi detached Victorian house in Wimbledon Park. The property, arranged on four split levels, had already been extended in 2007 by the previous owners. The clients only wished to have the interiors updated to create a contemporary family room. However, FPA interpreted the brief as an opportunity also to refine the appearance of the existing side extension overlooking the patio and devise a new external family room, framed by red cedar clap boards, laid to suggest a chevron floor pattern. The refurbishment of the interior creates an internal contemporary family room at the lower ground floor by employing a simple, yet elegant, selection of materials as the instrument to redirect the focus of the house towards the patio and the garden: light coloured European Oak floor is paired with natural Oak and white lacquered panelling and Lava Stone to produce a calming and serene space. The clients loved their newly purchased, quiet, and secluded home, but it needed a full renovation. As the homeowners are avid chefs, the design and intelligent usage plan for the new kitchen took top priority. They were inspired by a visit to the DEANE showroom displays and selected a sleek, modern style without hardware for their midcentury, Italian modern update. High gloss, lacquer cabinets in a soft grey add warmth to the room, and all cabinets and drawers are opened either via channel pulls or touch-operated. To keep the quartzite countertops clean and free of clutter, the drawers were customized to include knife inserts, silverware dividers, and spices out of sight with a cooking utensil drawer right below the range and a pull-out cabinet underneath the sink to give easy access to cleaning supplies. The patinaed stainless steel island with distressed, wire-brushed cabinets acts as both an area for eating as well as entertaining, with storage designed for serving platters. Appliance garages flank the cooktop counter areas, and the detail at the bottom of the custom hood echos the channel pulls. Refrigerated beverage drawers and contemporary SubZero/Wolf model appliances complete the space, with the single slab, seamless backsplash providing a dramatic focal point. The designer loves how the mixture of stainless steel and high gloss lacquer makes the room so stunning.
