These South Shore homeowners desired a fresh look for their kitchen that was efficient and functional with a design worthy of showing off to family and friends. They also wished for more natural light, increased floor area and better countertop work space allowing for ease of preparation and cooking. The Renovisions team began the remodel by installing a larger (5’) window over the sink area which overlooks the beautiful backyard. Additional countertop workspace was achieved by utilizing the corner and installing a GE induction cooktop and stainless steel hood. This solution was spot on spectacular! Renovisions discussed the importance of adding lighting fixtures and the homeowners agreed. Under cabinet lighting was installed under wall cabinets with switch as well as two pendants over the peninsula and one pendant over the sink. It also made good design sense to add additional recessed ceiling fixtures with LED lights and trims that blend well with the ceiling. The project came together beautifully and boasts gorgeous shaker styled cherry cabinetry with glass mullian doors. The separate desk area serves as a much needed office/organizational area for keys, mail and electronic charging. A lovely backsplash of Tuscan-clay-look porcelain tile in 4”x8” brick pattern and diagonal tile with decorative metal-look accent tiles serves an eye-catching design detail. We created interest without being overdone. A large rectangular under-mounted ‘chef’ sink in stainless steel finish was the way to go here to accommodate larger pots and pans and platters. The creamy color marble like durable yet beautiful quartz countertops created a soft tone for the kitchens overall aesthetic look. Simple, pretty details give the cherry cabinets understated elegance and the mix of textures makes the room feel welcoming. Our client can’t wait to start preparing her favorite recipes for her family.

This clean transitional craftsman kitchen features Columbia Cabinetry with Alder stained base and tall cabinets, and French White painted Maple upper cabinetry. The custom drywall hood, finished in French white paint like the upper cabinets, is an elegant focal point to this newly remodeled kitchen. Special features include: curved peninsula, custom built-in breakfast table, and a porcelain tile backsplash with a distressed wood grain texture to complement the new wide-plank hardwood flooring. This kitchen remodel started with a complete change of the existing floor plan, transforming it into a completely new, open layout. The new kitchen shows one of our favorite fresh traditional styles with a timeless color palette. Rustic - knotty oak cabinets with white painted accents are complimented by white quartz counter tops and a custom designed, eye catching backsplash where the grout color becomes part of the design pattern. Our homeowners had a vision of vaulted ceilings with an open floor plan to maximize the view of the Narrows. The ceiling went from 8’ to 16’. The washer and dryer area had doors that swung open into the existing island. The washer and dryer were relocated from the kitchen to the basement, freeing up space for large built in cabinetry and the refrigerator. New hardwood flooring was tied in with the existing. The new half wall was framed after meticulously factoring in the new flooring, cabinetry, countertop, tile splash and quartz sill to insure it would be the exact height the homeowners specified and no tiles would be cut. The cabinetry is maple with a cinnamon stain. The outlet covers that are in the cabinetry are custom to match. The GFCI is hidden in the island. Cabinet handle sizes were chosen to match the door size instead of all being one size. The countertops are white quartz, with a gray quartz on the island. Hidden steel rods support the quartz bar hang over. White outlets were chosen when placed in the tile areas. The window and door trim throughout the kitchen, dining and living room was changed from oak to white. A custom piece was created to frame in the refrigerator giving it a built-in look. The commercial range hood was purchased used from a restaurant in Texas. The joists would not allow for the hood to be inset. A frame was built and the edges were trimmed out to finish the look.
