In the Kitchen, Breakfast Area, Laundry Room, Hallway, Living Room and Entry moldings & wallpaper were removed. A window was closed in and two doors & door trims replaced. Then the rooms were textured and painted. LED can lights were added and electrical and plumbing relocated where needed. The Kitchen & Breakfast Area received new cabinets from Mid Continent Cabinetry in the Maple Jamison Door Style stained Sundance Chocolate Glaze with Cold Spring Granite countertops. The Backsplash is Daltile Crystal Shores Copper Coast. Floors are Happy Floors Luserna Bianco 12”x24 porcelain tile. Also included is a Café Brown Silgranite 40/60 undermount Sink with oil rubbed faucets from Delta. The Laundry Room’s louvered doors were changed to French Frosted Glass with the words Laundry added to the etched glass. New cabinets and flooring match the kitchen. The kitchen features a bookcase above the sink, many interior accessories such as roll out trays in the base and pantry cabinets. Also, a pullout wastebasket is located to the right of the sink. A small bar seating area was added to the end of the kitchen. The Breakfast Area has Flemish Glass Doors added so china and glassware can be displayed.

The original kitchen was designed with 45 degree angles, and was closed in. We opened the back wall to create a galley style kitchen. A large pantry was created under the staircase and the existing pantry was incorporated into the kitchen area. The old, full-size refrigerator was replaced by a counter depth unit and relocated to the opposite wall. By moving the refrigerator, additional cabinetry could be installed, which created more storage, and in the end counter space had been doubled. In this kitchen renovation, we installed Medallion Gold, Maple Rushmore Harvest Bronze cabinets with an ebony glaze accented with Top Knobs Chateau Top Pulls, Cambria quartz countertops, an Artisan Chef Pro pull out faucet in Satin Nickel and soap dispenser, stainless steel sink. On the floor, Permastone natural slate Prairie Stone 16”x16”.

When you look at this photo, please focus on the cabinets with the glass tile backsplash. This is where the clients old refrigerator was located. The lower cabinets were built and stained to match the existing cabinets. We were to find a slab of granite to match the original, which created a larger work space. The glass tiles where used as an accent because the backsplash tiles were no longer available.

This unique contemporary home was designed with a focus around entertaining and flexible space. The open concept with an industrial eclecticness creates intrigue on multiple levels. The interior has many elements and mixed materials likening it to the exterior. The master bedroom suite offers a large bathroom with a floating vanity.
