This bright new coastal kitchen was part of a remodel project in a dated condominium. The owner chose wood looking tile floors throughout. A large, underutilized laundry room was divided in half and a walk-in pantry was created next to the kitchen. Because space was at a premium, a sliding barn door was used. We chose a more coastal looking louvered door. The cabinets originally were light oak which we had painted. The aqua glass subway tile adds a translucent water affect and the Cambria countertops finish the look with a high degree of sparkle.

We revamped this 1960's Mid-Century Valley Glen home, by transforming its wide spacious kitchen into a modern mid-century style. We completely removed the old cabinets, reconfigured the layout, upgraded the electrical and plumbing system of the kitchen. We installed 6 dimmable recessed light cans, new GFI outlets, new switches, and brand-new appliances. We moved the stovetop's location opposite from its original location for the sake of space efficiency to create new countertop space for dining. Relocating the stovetop required creating a new gas line and ventilation pipeline. We installed 56 linear feet of beautiful custom flat-panel walnut and off-white cabinets that house the stovetop refrigerator, wine cellar, sink, and dishwasher seamlessly. The cabinets have beautiful gold brush hardware, self-close mechanisms, adjustable shelves, full extension drawers, and a spice rack pull-out. There is also a pullout drawer that glides out quietly for easy access to store essentials at the party. We installed 45 sq. ft. of teal subway tile backsplash adds a pop of color to the brown walnut, gold, and neutral color palette of the kitchen. The 45 sq. ft. of countertop is made of a solid color off-white custom-quartz which matches the color of the top cabinets of the kitchen. Paired with the 220 sq. ft. of natural off-white stone flooring tiles, the color combination of the kitchen embodies the essence of modern mid-century style.

Features an integrated sink, flat panel, pale green cabinets with overhead light timber cabinets, open shelves and white engineered stone benchtops. Pale blue kit kat tile splashback and white subway splashback with oak timber flooring.

We used: hollow stainless steel bar pull hardware. 3 cm Ceasarstone quartz countertops in organic white. Reico Acrilux cabinetry in Linear Silver, U-Line U2224BEVINT60A 24" built-in beverage center with 4.9 cubic foot capacity, digital touch pad and convection cooling system. Vanier 7" engineered hardwood floors in Summer Wreath Gray. Every now and then, we take on a smaller project with clients who are super fans of Form + Field, entrusting our team to exercise their creativity and produce a design that pushed their boundaries, which ultimately led to a space they love. With an affinity for entertaining, they desired to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Although a wall dividing the entryway and kitchen posed initial spatial constraints, we opened the area to create a seamless flow; maximizing the space and functionality of their jewel box kitchen. To marry the couple's favorite colors (blue and green), we designed custom wood cabinetry finished in a deep muted pine green with blue undertones to frame the kitchen; beautifully complementing the custom walnut wooden fixtures found throughout the intimate space.

This client home needed to be updated and join the 21st century.....and we started by creating a somewhat open concept, so the kitchen was not separated from the great room. We created a peninsula from the galley style kitchen and added bar seating. A new floor plan was created and moving the sink under the kitchen window, moving the range to the wall to be vented properly, and fridge and pantry are all in their perfect thought-out place for a proper functioning kitchen.
