Our clients were excited to move forward with their long-awaited kitchen renovation. Their wish list included removing almost everything in the kitchen. Remaining in the kitchen were the beautiful tin ceiling tiles — a family gift from many years ago. In the new laundry room, our clients wanted a multi-function space to accommodate laundry chores and also act as a butler’s pantry and staging area for large family gatherings. The newly renovated kitchen starts with rich, warm, walnut wood recessed panel cabinets with an ember stain. The cream, gray and white matte leathered granite countertops complement the new stainless appliances. The focal point of the kitchen is the beautiful tile floor. A grey porcelain 6” by 24” plank tile is meticulously installed in a dramatic chevron pattern throughout the kitchen and laundry room area. The center island, which we were able to double in size from the existing, functions as the microwave area and provides storage as well. A highlight of the laundry/beverage sink area is the matte black Brio Solna faucet with Touch2O Technology — a nod to the latest trends in hands-free and motion-sensing faucet technology.

Raised panel, stained wood cabinets with a contrasting painted cream island set the Traditional tone for this expansive kitchen project. The counter tops are a combination of polished earth tone granite in the kitchen and prep island, and matte finished quartzite for the serving island. The floors are engineered wood that transitions into travertine. And we also used a combination of travertine and a custom tile pattern for the backsplash and trim around the hood. Enjoy!

Inheriting a white kitchen with glazed cabinets was not what this new homeowner expected. She is more of a shabby-chic farmhouse type. While they loved the hearth and tile work, it would be quite an expense to replace this many cabinets. The solution, reface them in a Driftwood and Portobella stain that both offer the rustic look the homeowner was going for. Maintain the new warm palette by replacing the countertops in Cambria Warm for a subtle, yet elegant kitchen design.

This transitional kitchen is a timeless, unique, clean and fine lines with a polished marble counter top and flooring. The vent hood is a custom piece and the cabinetry is built in custom and stained to perfection. As with every client, our goal was to create a truly distinct home that reflected the needs and desires of the homeowner while exceeding their expectations. The modern aesthetic was combined with warm and welcoming hill country features like the white limestone exterior in a coarse linear pattern, knotty alder slab front cabinets in the kitchen and dining, and light wood flooring throughout. Stark, clean edges were balanced with rounded and curved light fixtures as well as the limestone cladding fireplace surround in the family room. While the design was pleasing to the eye, measures were taken to ensure a sturdy build including steel lintel window header details, a fluid-applied flashing window treatment to prevent water infiltration, LED recessed can lighting, high-efficiency windows with LowE glass coatings, and spray foam insulation. The backyard was specifically designed for entertaining in the Texas heat with a covered patio that offered multiple fans and an outdoor kitchen.
