This full home mid-century remodel project is in an affluent community perched on the hills known for its spectacular views of Los Angeles. Our retired clients were returning to sunny Los Angeles from South Carolina. Amidst the pandemic, they embarked on a two-year-long remodel with us - a heartfelt journey to transform their residence into a personalized sanctuary. Opting for a crisp white interior, we provided the perfect canvas to showcase the couple's legacy art pieces throughout the home. Carefully curating furnishings that complemented rather than competed with their remarkable collection. It's minimalistic and inviting. We created a space where every element resonated with their story, infusing warmth and character into their newly revitalized soulful home.

Lustrous walnut flooring literally lays the groundwork for this suburban renovation. Rutt Regency Cabinetry with Flat-panel doors give center stage to the starring features. Perimeter (Rutt Regency) cabinetry is a soft white, while a repetition of rich walnut dresses the island cabinets, the refrigerator framing as well as the stools and adjacent dining table with chairs. That contrast creates a point-counterpoint dialogue with the floors. Though the top trim is deceivingly simple, it’s actually a triple stack of moldings. Countertops are a mix of Caesarstone quartz on the perimeter and marble on the center island. Vertically-stacked subway tiles in assorted whites and off-whites add subtle shading and dimension. Viking’s white finish graces the refrigerator and range, while the dishwasher and wine cooler sport cabinetry panels. Conveniently located opposite the refrigerator, a stainless microwave drawer was placed in the island. A delightful surprise designed by the architect is hidden behind the island: handcrafted panels and a storage cabinet faced in varied-width slats of walnut that speak to the attention to detail in this room. Warm brass was chosen for pulls, faucet, and pendants. The brass strap on the white vent hood is punctuated by a single oversized pyramid-shaped rivet; another small detail that speaks volumes. This corner area has been used to maximise storage while providing bench space. An on-bench pantry is a great place to store and use small appliances, while the under bench cupboard next to the wall oven houses an Hafele Magic Corner pullout.

This contemporary New York City kitchen features frameless high-gloss white lacquer cabinets in a flat panel with floating shelved flanking both ends of the “u-shaped” space. Designed by Bilotta’s Tabitha Tepe, in collaboration with Robi Kirsic of Timeline Renovations, the kitchen has an open setting with seating at the island and breathtaking views of the East River. The waterfall countertop and integrated backsplash are marble; the appliances, hidden, for the most part behind cabinet panels, are by Miele and Subzero with a Scotsman icemaker. Even the wall oven and speed oven are in Miele’s white collection seamlessly integrating them into the cabinets. The neutral color palette makes for a very clean and very serene setting. The kitchen table, crafted by a local artisan using salvaged redwood and douglas fir from the building site, is the center of daily family meals. A large pullout out pantry (Blum Space Tower) provides a huge amount of storage in this kitchen. Blum Space Towers can be made to any width up to 1200mm. Each unit comprises of 5 soft close drawers which can also be spaced in a way that suits your requirements.

This kitchen was 24 years old with the cabinets and appliances not functioning well, the flooring was cracked and in bad shape and the kitchen needed a facelift. Audrey & Karl Schmitt chose Cabinet-S-Top because we are one-stop shop and could remodel everything from floor to ceiling. This white kitchen is a timeless beauty with a style that endures and has many design features to highlight; but the customer loves the way we separated the refrigerator and freezer with a beautiful pantry to give it a more furniture feel. Audrey and Karl praised their designer, Betty Nairn and said she is beyond awesome and is professional, creative, and easy to talk to!
