Builder: Boone Construction Photographer: M-Buck Studio This lakefront farmhouse skillfully fits four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms in this carefully planned open plan. The symmetrical front façade sets the tone by contrasting the earthy textures of shake and stone with a collection of crisp white trim that run throughout the home. Wrapping around the rear of this cottage is an expansive covered porch designed for entertaining and enjoying shaded Summer breezes. A pair of sliding doors allow the interior entertaining spaces to open up on the covered porch for a seamless indoor to outdoor transition. The openness of this compact plan still manages to provide plenty of storage in the form of a separate butlers pantry off from the kitchen, and a lakeside mudroom. The living room is centrally located and connects the master quite to the home’s common spaces. The master suite is given spectacular vistas on three sides with direct access to the rear patio and features two separate closets and a private spa style bath to create a luxurious master suite. Upstairs, you will find three additional bedrooms, one of which a private bath. The other two bedrooms share a bath that thoughtfully provides privacy between the shower and vanity.

We removed a soffit, dated cabinetry & ineffective appliances in this Bar/ Butler's Pantry Area. We were able to create an elegant & beautiful area between the Kitchen and Dining Room, that is also visible from the entry way. This image shows the UK72’s pocket bi-fold doors opened to reveal the counter top with storage areas above, 2 burner ceramic cook top, 18 ga. stainless steel sink, and GE’s incredible Advantium oven/exhaust hood, the oven that can cook anything. YesterTec’s patented, UL Listed safety features do not allow the oven and cook top to operate when the bi-fold doors are closed in front of them. Below the solid surface counter top is the refrigerator/freezer, single drawer/dishwasher and more storage areas. Ensuring an ingrained sense of flexibility in the planning of dining and kitchen area, and how each space connected and opened to the next – was key. A dividing door by IQ Glass is hidden into the Molteni & Dada kitchen units, planned by AC Spatial Design. Together, the transition between inside and out, and the potential for extend into the surrounding garden spaces, became an integral component of the new works.

For this project, the initial inspiration for our clients came from seeing a modern industrial design featuring barnwood and metals in our showroom. Once our clients saw this, we were commissioned to completely renovate their outdated and dysfunctional kitchen and our in-house design team came up with this new this space that incorporated old world aesthetics with modern farmhouse functions and sensibilities. Now our clients have a beautiful, one-of-a-kind kitchen which is perfecting for hosting and spending time in. Modern Farm House kitchen built in Milan Italy. Imported barn wood made and set in gun metal trays mixed with chalk board finish doors and steel framed wired glass upper cabinets. Industrial meets modern farm house
