All the wood used in the remodel of this ranch house in South Central Kansas is reclaimed material. Berry Craig, the owner of Reclaimed Wood Creations Inc. searched the country to find the right woods to make this home a reflection of his abilities and a work of art. It started as a 50 year old metal building on a ranch, and was striped down to the red iron structure and completely transformed. It showcases his talent of turning a dream into a reality when it comes to anything wood. Show him a picture of what you would like and he can make it!

Take a moment to enjoy the tranquil and cozy feel of this rustic cottage kitchen and bathroom. With the whole bunkie outfitted in cabinetry with a warm, neutral finish and decorative metal hardware, this space feels right at home as a welcoming retreat surrounded by nature. ⠀ The space is refreshing and rejuvenating, with floral accents, lots of natural light, and clean, bright faucets, but pays tribute to traditional elegance with a special place to display fine china, detailed moulding, and a rustic chandelier. ⠀ The couple that owns this bunkie has done a beautiful job maximizing storage space and functionality, without losing one ounce of character or the peaceful feel of a streamlined, cottage life.

Le projet Un appartement familial en Vente en Etat Futur d’Achèvement (VEFA) où tout reste à faire. Les propriétaires ont su tirer profit du délai de construction pour anticiper aménagements, choix des matériaux et décoration avec l’aide de Decor Interieur. Notre solution A partir des plans du constructeur, nous avons imaginé un espace à vivre qui malgré sa petite surface (32m2) doit pouvoir accueillir une famille de 4 personnes confortablement et bénéficier de rangements avec une cuisine ouverte. Pour optimiser l’espace, la cuisine en U est configurée pour intégrer un maximum de rangements tout en étant très design pour s’intégrer parfaitement au séjour. Dans la pièce à vivre donnant sur une large terrasse, il fallait intégrer des espaces de rangements pour la vaisselle, des livres, un grand téléviseur et une cheminée éthanol ainsi qu’un canapé et une grande table pour les repas. Pour intégrer tous ces éléments harmonieusement, un grand ensemble menuisé toute hauteur a été conçu sur le mur faisant face à l’entrée. Celui-ci bénéficie de rangements bas fermés sur toute la longueur du meuble. Au dessus de ces rangements et afin de ne pas alourdir l’ensemble, un espace a été créé pour la cheminée éthanol et le téléviseur. Vient ensuite de nouveaux rangements fermés en hauteur et des étagères. Ce meuble en plus d’être très fonctionnel et élégant permet aussi de palier à une problématique de mur sur deux niveaux qui est ainsi résolue. De plus dès le moment de la conception nous avons pu intégrer le fait qu’un radiateur était mal placé et demander ainsi en amont au constructeur son déplacement. Pour bénéficier de la vue superbe sur Paris, l’espace salon est placé au plus près de la large baie vitrée. L’espace repas est dans l’alignement sur l’autre partie du séjour avec une grande table à allonges. Le style L’ensemble de la pièce à vivre avec cuisine est dans un style très contemporain avec une dominante de gris anthracite en contraste avec un bleu gris tirant au turquoise choisi en harmonie avec un panneau de papier peint Pierre Frey. Pour réchauffer la pièce un parquet a été choisi sur les pièces à vivre. Dans le même esprit la cuisine mixe le bois et l’anthracite en façades avec un plan de travail quartz noir, un carrelage au sol et les murs peints anthracite. Un petit comptoir surélevé derrière les meubles bas donnant sur le salon est plaqué bois. Le mobilier design reprend des teintes présentes sur le papier peint coloré, comme le jaune (canapé) et le bleu (fauteuil). Chaises, luminaires, miroirs et poignées de meuble sont en laiton. Une chaise vintage restaurée avec un tissu d’éditeur au style Art Deco vient compléter l’ensemble, tout comme une table basse ronde avec un plateau en marbre noir.

The centerpiece of this exquisite kitchen is the deep navy island adorned with a stunning quartzite slab. Its rich hue adds a touch of sophistication and serves as a captivating focal point. Complementing this bold choice, the two-tone color-blocked cabinet design elevates the overall aesthetic, showcasing a perfect blend of style and functionality. Light counters and a thoughtfully selected backsplash ensure a bright and inviting atmosphere. The intelligent layout separates the work zones, allowing for seamless workflow, while the strategic placement of the island seating around three sides ensures ample space and prevents any crowding. A larger window positioned above the sink not only floods the kitchen with natural light but also provides a picturesque view of the surrounding environment. This downtown St. Paul condo had been updated recently but the quality and layout were not great. Before the kitchen renovation, the cabinets were not designed for a kitchen, they were very shallow, with shelves that were constantly falling. The sink was stuck in the corner which made using it very frustrating and the refrigerator was tiny. The homeowner desired an open kitchen with a good layout, plenty of storage, ample countertops, and seating for entertaining. To achieve these goals, we got rid of the kitchen island and open shelving unit to reconfigured the kitchen into a U-shaped layout with a huge peninsula. The large new fridge was relocated to the adjacent wall, the sink was moved out of the corner and the range was moved to the new peninsula. This gave the kitchen a great work triangle that is ideal for entertaining. Open shelves were added for display, and a bold green paint was used on the accent wall where a commissioned painting will hang. Ample Cambria Quartz countertops in the Skara Brae pattern bring an organic feel to the space while the long linear porcelain tile backsplash adds to the industrial, modern vibe of the open loft. This loft now matches the artistic vibes of the building, the personality of the homeowner, and imparts the quality this homeowner deserves so she can enjoy it for many years to come.

This prairie home tucked in the woods strikes a harmonious balance between modern efficiency and welcoming warmth.
