This stunning black and white kitchen with its punch of yellow was designed for a couple who love to cook and maintain a kosher kitchen. The attention to detail is incredible and evident - the storage use, amenities, the perimeter crown molding treatment, the convection double French door ovens, induction cooktop and cordless control blinds. The cabinets installed on the perimeter are Custom Wood Products Maple Vinyl, Bright White, Dull Rubbed and for the Islands custom painted to match Golden Orchards #329 Benjamin Moore accented with Chareau Collection ! Chalet knobs and pulls. Cambria Whitecliff Quartz was installed on the countertops with two Franke Fireclay Undermount sinks. Delta Brizo Venuto in Black faucets were installed. Jenn Aire 42" French door panel refrigerator, G.E. 36" Induction Cooktop and Downdraft, American Range 30" Yellow Double Ovens, Bosch dishwashers and Wolf 30" Warming drawer.

This 1960's home needed a little love to bring it into the new century while retaining the traditional charm of the house and entertaining the maximalist taste of the homeowners. Mixing bold colors and fun patterns were not only welcome but a requirement, so this home got a fun makeover in almost every room! New cabinets are from KitchenCraft (MasterBrand) in their Lexington doors style, White Cap paint on Maple. Counters are quartz from Cambria - Ironsbridge color. A Blanco Performa sin in stainless steel sits on the island with Newport Brass Gavin faucet and plumbing fixtures in satin bronze. The bar sink is from Copper Sinks Direct in a hammered bronze finish. Kitchen backsplash is from Renaissance Tile: Cosmopolitan field tile in China White, 5-1/8" x 5-1/8" squares in a horizontal brick lay. Bar backsplash is from Marble Systems: Chelsea Brick in Boho Bronze, 2-5/8" x 8-3/8" also in a horizontal brick pattern. Flooring is a stained hardwood oak that is seen throughout a majority of the house. The main feature of the kitchen is the Dacor 48" Heritage Dual Fuel Range taking advantage of their Color Match program. We settled on Sherwin Williams #6746 - Julip. It sits below a custom hood manufactured by a local supplier. It is made from 6" wide Resawn White Oak planks with an oil finish. It covers a Vent-A-Hood liner insert hood. Other appliances include a Dacor Heritage 24" Microwave Drawer, 24" Dishwasher, Scotsman 15" Ice Maker, and Liebherr tall Wine Cooler and 24" Undercounter Refrigerator.

This MCM kitchen replaced a dated 1980's version. Navy base cabinets w/dark stained uppers, brass hardware, blue & gold veined quartz tops & dimensional tile really set this kitchen apart. Extra touches of a navy sink, angled wine rack and asymmetrical floating shelves give it the piece de resistance!

The owners of this 1939 home wanted an updated kitchen that matched the elegance of their classic home. They were cramped, counter space was minute and storage was minimal. Their lifestyle was busy with kids and entertaining. The space was transformed with an addition that captured their water view with access to patio entertaining. With a new layout, classic inset cabinetry and a Lacanche Burgundy range from France, it was a dramatic remodel. A new banquette and island added lots of seating options and storage. Hand crafted custom touches abound with the hood, tile and cabinets, while allowing for modern function.

With a peninsula that seats four, conversation with the cook is easy, while the dining space next door (now open) provides additional seating for 10-12.

A spa-like design and feel in this redesigned master bathroom in McLean, Virginia. Designed by Erika Jayne Design + Build, the finishes, fixtures, and accessories all evoke a sense of calm in this bathroom retreat. Warm grays found in the cabinetry and marble are complemented by touches of black accents throughout. A natural fiber rug adds the perfect dose of textural interest to an expansive floor of marble tiles.

Late 1800s Victorian Bungalow i Central Denver was updated creating an entirely different experience to a young couple who loved to cook and entertain. By opening up two load bearing wall, replacing and refinishing new wood floors with radiant heating, exposing brick and ultimately painting the brick.. the space transformed in a huge open yet warm entertaining haven. Bold color was at the heart of this palette and the homeowners personal essence.

This transitional kitchen design is located in McLean, VA and features classic design element like white shaker cabinets, marble subway tile, and warm brass finishes. Touches of natural textures and wood tones add warm and interest to this timeless design.

This rambler’s small kitchen was dysfunctional and out of touch with our client’s needs. She desired a larger footprint without an addition or expanding the footprint to stay within a realistic budget for her homes size and neighborhood. The existing kitchen was “boxed-in” at the back of the house. The entrance from the hallway was very narrow causing congestion and cramping the cook. In the living room the existing fireplace was a room hog, taking up the middle of the house. The kitchen was isolated from the other room’s downstairs. The design team and homeowner decided to open the kitchen, connecting it to the dining room by removing the fireplace. This expanded the interior floor space. To create further integration amongst the spaces, the wall opening between the dining and living room was also widened. An archway was built to replicate the existing arch at the hallway & living room, giving a more spacious feel. The new galley kitchen includes generous workspaces and enhanced storage. All designed for this homeowners’ specific needs in her kitchen. We also created a kitchen peninsula where guests can sit and enjoy conversations with the cook. (After 5,6) The red Viking range gives a fun pop of color to offset the monochromatic floor, cabinets and counters. It also plays to her Stanford alumni colors. One of our favorite and most notable features of this kitchen is the “flip-out” window at the sink. This creative solution allows for an enhanced outdoor living experience, without an expansive remodel or addition. When the window is open the party can happen inside and outside with an interactive experience between spaces. The countertop was installed flush to the window, specifically designed as a cocktail/counter rail surface.

This smallish kitchen needed to be both updated and opened up. By taking out the wall where the peninsula is now and adding a garden window made the kitchen feels much bigger even though we didn't add any square footage! Opening up the wall between the kitchen and entry also added much needed light. 48 inch AGA range is the show stopper in the room.

An open Mid-Century Modern inspired kitchen with ceiling details and lots of natural light. White upper cabinets and grey lower cabinets keep the space light. An orange Stove and orange counter stools pop against the neutral background. The pendant lights feel like an art installation, and the ceiling design adds drama without feeling heavy.

The large island provides additional cabinetry and also another place to perch when gathering.
