This kitchen is hot! The fire engine red KitchenAid range makes a big statement in this row house kitchen renovation for two hard working first responders. Sherwin Williams Pure White #7005 on the back cabinets and Farrow & Ball's Down Pipe #26 on the island provide a clean and soothing backdrop.

The kitchen includes all the necessities for entertaining: a large refrigerator and pantry on one side, and "beverage area" on the other, complete with glass display cabinetry, retractable-door shelving for liquor, and a mini ice maker and fridge.

Light and bright but timeless. Using white cabinets around the perimeter and the accented island which matches the custom range blends the looks but grounds the design. The custom tile behind the range enhances the look and feel of the space along with the shades of blue in the main subway tile. A custom hood was designed to complement the traditional feel along with sleek accents.

This smallish kitchen needed to be both updated and opened up. By taking out the wall where the peninsula is now and adding a garden window made the kitchen feels much bigger even though we didn't add any square footage! Opening up the wall between the kitchen and entry also added much needed light. 48 inch AGA range is the show stopper in the room. The flush mount hood vent keeps the sight line clear. We were even able to find a deck mount pot filler.

The owners of this 1939 home wanted an updated kitchen that matched the elegance of their classic home. They were cramped, counter space was minute and storage was minimal. Their lifestyle was busy with kids and entertaining. The space was transformed with an addition that captured their water view with access to patio entertaining. With a new layout, classic inset cabinetry and a Lacanche Burgundy range from France, it was a dramatic remodel. A new banquette and island added lots of seating options and storage. Walnut interior drawers, marble look quartz countertops and fill height backsplash, built-in refrigerator and dishwasher with custom cabinetry panels. All designed, renovated, and installed by us. Kitchen is finished with crown molding and light rail molding. perfectly flush under-cabinet lighting and "x" detail at Peninsula. Coffee bar was added bonus for an area that used to be a laundry room.

Winner of "HOME OF THE YEAR 2016" San Diego Home and Garden Lifestyles Magazine featuring this great contemporary kitchen remodel in An Irving Gill renovation near Balboa Park stays true to its historic essence. More about the project. This young couple has a creative back ground, one being an actor and the other being a teacher who inspires others. They now enjoy a new historical home with amazing touches of modern styling and comforts. The home was designed by renowned architect Irving Gill in 1905 and is on the historical register but it only applies to the exterior of the home. The brick pillar is an original feature from the home's turn-of-the-century stove. The window casings were built to replicate the original Douglas Fir windows as seen on Gill's original plans, and all the molding was redone in his signature flush style as well. The central feature in this kitchen is the Yellow Italian Bertazzoni Range with a single herringbone tiled back splash. The cabinetry is a light gray paired perfectly with a dark "graphite" gray island, and industrial vents at the toe kick enhance the overall look. This 1960's home needed a little love to bring it into the new century while retaining the traditional charm of the house and entertaining the maximalist taste of the homeowners. Mixing bold colors and fun patterns were not only welcome but a requirement, so this home got a fun makeover in almost every room! New cabinets are from KitchenCraft (MasterBrand) in their Lexington doors style, White Cap paint on Maple. Counters are quartz from Cambria - Ironsbridge color. A Blanco Performa sin in stainless steel sits on the island with Newport Brass Gavin faucet and plumbing fixtures in satin bronze. The bar sink is from Copper Sinks Direct in a hammered bronze finish. Kitchen backsplash is from Renaissance Tile: Cosmopolitan field tile in China White, 5-1/8" x 5-1/8" squares in a horizontal brick lay. Bar backsplash is from Marble Systems: Chelsea Brick in Boho Bronze, 2-5/8" x 8-3/8" also in a horizontal brick pattern. Flooring is a stained hardwood oak that is seen throughout a majority of the house. The main feature of the kitchen is the Dacor 48" Heritage Dual Fuel Range taking advantage of their Color Match program. We settled on Sherwin Williams #6746 - Julip. It sits below a custom hood manufactured by a local supplier. It is made from 6" wide Resawn White Oak planks with an oil finish. It covers a Vent-A-Hood liner insert hood. Other appliances include a Dacor Heritage 24" Microwave Drawer, 24" Dishwasher, Scotsman 15" Ice Maker, and Liebherr tall Wine Cooler and 24" Undercounter Refrigerator.
